With a groan, she flung her arm over her eyes, breathing deep as she fought against her inner bitch, and the even more urgent urge that wanted her to chase after Simon and drag him back for more.

Chapter Three

Frank glanced up from the science magazine he perused when Simon came slamming into their hotel room, his glasses askew, his shirt untucked and his expression spooked.

“What happened to you?”

“I-That is…” His friend slumped into a chair and stared off dazedly.

Intrigued that his usually calm and collected best friend seemed so unhinged, he got up to fetch him a drink. Then he smelled it—sex, wolf and woman. Frank’s cock instantly grew hard, which threw him for a loop. He’d taken care of business in the shower that morning.
And since when do I get horny from a scent?
He covered his embarrassment with a question.

“Damn, looks like I missed all the fun. Who did you do the horizontal tango with?”

“Hmmm.” Simon’s bewildered gaze met his, and then the silliest smile spread over his face. “I just had sex with the most awesome and gorgeous woman alive.”

“Lucky bastard. And another wolf by the smell of you. Is she your mate?”

“Good grief no!” Simon vehemently replied. “Or at least I don’t think so. I’m not sure.”

“How can you not be sure?” Frank asked sitting back down, drink forgotten.

“I mean, if she were anybody else, I’d say she was. God, the urge to bite her when she rode me was so hard to fight.”

“Cowgirl? Nice!” his friend congratulated. “So why didn’t you chomp her then?”

Simon’s eyes finally focused. “Are you insane? Chomp the alpha of the Toronto pack? Last I checked, I wasn’t suicidal.”

A dropped jaw and wide eyes was all Frank could manage for a moment. “Uhm, did you say, the Toronto pack alpha, as in Deena the man-eater?”

The stupid smile returned. “One and the same. And damn, when she eats, she doesn’t hold back.” The innuendo came through loud and clear.

A twinge of jealousy touched Frank at his friend’s obvious enjoyment of his experience. But, Frank didn’t let it make him bitter. Simon wasn’t trying to flaunt or throw his good luck in his face. They’d always shared everything and had since they were pups conducting their first science experiment together, a homemade version of hair removal that to this day, Suzie, Frank’s cousin, hadn’t forgiven them for. “So after she did you, then what happened?”

“She told me to get out. So I did.”

“Not the cuddling kind, eh? Doesn’t surprise me considering what we’ve heard about her. So when do you see her again?”

Simon shrugged and lost his happy smile. “I don’t. What we did was fantastic, but it won’t happen again. I mean, seriously, me and her? Like that’s going to go anywhere, no matter what my wolf thinks.”

“Why not? If you’re meant to be mates, why would you stay away?”

Cynicism colored his friend’s response. “Because I know when I’m beat. I can’t hold on to a woman like her. You didn’t meet her. She’s absolutely magnificent. Gorgeous. Sexy. Bossy, but I kind of like that about her.”

“So go for it.”

A sigh slipped from Simon. “If I thought for a minute I could keep her interested in me, I would, but why would she want a nerd like me when she could have her pick of alphas?”

“Don’t sell yourself short. In the long run, it’s not muscle that’ll keep her intrigued, but what’s inside your mind. And besides, you can’t fight fate.”

Simon snorted. “If it’s fate, then it’s got a funny sense of humor.”

“I think you’re giving up too easily. If she really was that awesome, you’d be trying to go back for some more.”

“I want to, oh god do I ever. She’s incredible, but I’d also like to live to see the next moonrise with my balls intact, thank you.”

“Pussy.”

Simon shrugged. “Maybe. But I can live with that.”

Frank couldn’t believe his friend seemed so ready to give up. “How long is she staying in town?”

“I don’t know. I didn’t ask. We were kind of busy with other things.” Frank couldn’t believe the blush that brightened his friend’s cheeks, making it easy to guess what things. “Why do you care?”

“I think I’d like to meet this paragon of womanhood.”

“Go ahead, but don’t blame me if she decides to rip your balls off and use them to play golf.”

“I didn’t say I wanted to get that close.” Although, he wouldn’t mind a sniff, especially if she smelled half as good in person as she did secondhand.

It didn’t surprise him that his friend seemed reluctant to pursue Deena the Ball Buster. Rumors of her antics were plentiful and had to hold at least a grain of truth. But what if she were Simon’s mate? As his best friend, the task fell upon Frank to find out more about this woman, and maybe give her a gentle nudge in his friend’s direction—with a ten-foot pole, of course.

Deena spent a sleepless night thanks to Simon. Stupid her, she should have apparently kept her geeky little wolf for a while longer. It seemed one round of sex wasn’t enough to cool her ardor—or calm her wolf. She even stooped so low as to following his scent trail down to the lobby, only to lose it in there, buried amidst the varied scents of the other Lycans staying at the lodge and outside in the cabins.

Annoyed—and hornier than ever—she took it out on those unlucky enough to get in her way. All it took was one vicious snarl to make a pair of unlucky wolves throw themselves to the floor in submission. She still couldn’t recall what the Lycans in her path had done to offend her, and it didn’t matter. She needed to vent, and in the end, it enhanced her reputation.

At breakfast the next morning, her glower kept all but a few of her pack members away, but even they kept their good mornings short before heading to the breakfast buffet bar. It was as she stuffed her face with her third pancake that she smelled it; Irish Spring soap and yummy wolf.

Simon?

Her head came up, but the deeper she inhaled, the more she realized it wasn’t her geeky lover of the night before, but a new male, and lucky her, he came her way.

And proved to be just as small and unimposing as her last lover. She sighed and restrained an urge to bang her head off the table or break something.
Why, oh, why am I suddenly attracted to the weakest wolves around?

A question to ponder later as the male, in a T-shirt that read ‘Science is sexy”, stopped at her table and stared. Actually, he did more than gaze at her with unabashed surprise. His heart began beating faster, and she sensed some definite movement in his groin area. It seemed she’d turned into a sexual magnet for the geek squad. At least she was getting laid. Although, she did wish her wolf would shut up already. Not bad enough her inner bitch clamored to chomp on Simon, now it wanted her to do the same to her newest admirer.

“Sit,” she ordered tersely, a cool smile tilting her lips when he startled visibly.

Fumbling to pull the chair back, he plopped himself onto the seat while she watched him with much more interest than he deserved. Only slightly taller than Simon, at probably a hair over six foot, he owned the same pale skin, close-cut dark hair, an unshaven jaw and piercing blue eyes. His build appeared slim, his slender wrists leading to soft hands that tapered into pianist fingers—dexterous digits she’d wager that could pluck a tune from her sensitive clit. But possible sexual skills aside, he just wasn’t her usual type. Hell, she could probably bench press him and sing the Canadian anthem while doing it.

And yet, despite his apparent physical lack, she found him appealing. Actually, more than appealing. She wanted him with just as much urgency as she’d felt with Simon. Wanted to tear his clothes from his body and suck his cock until his eyes rolled back in his head and he sobbed his pleasure.

Hot damn, but the thought of it made her wet. Something of her hunger must have shown in her gaze because he visibly swallowed.

“Um, so, hi. My name is Frank. You met my best friend Simon last night.”

Friends? How intriguing. It meant the little nerd in front of her knew where to find her boy-toy from the night before. Although, she wasn’t too sure if she still needed Simon anymore, what with his fascinating friend in front of her.

“I wouldn’t say so much met as fucked his brains out,” she replied crassly, smiling as his cheeks flushed pink.
And how far down your body does that blush extend?

“Wow, you really are blunt,” he squeaked, unable to look her in the eye. “So, um, about my friend, Simon. He’s kind of why I’m here.”

“I’m not following you,” she said, deliberately playing obtuse to see if he could say it aloud.

“You know. The whole, um, sex thing and Simon.” His complexion turned a deep shade of red. But he forged ahead. “Simon seems to think that last night was a one-time thing.”

“It was.”

“Oh.”

Despite the interest she’d seen in his eyes, he seemed genuinely disappointed for his friend.

“Is that why you came? To see if I’d bang him again?”

Again, the endearing blush. She truly did want to drag him off somewhere and see what color he’d turn when she wrapped her lips around his cock and sucked him to culmination.

“I came because he—and I, for that matter—kind of got the impression that you might be mates.” When she would have interrupted, he held up a hand and said hurriedly, with more bravery than she would have credited, “Hold on. Hear me out. Simon never, ever does wild shit. He doesn’t have sex with girls he doesn’t know. He definitely never comes home wearing a silly grin and raving over how awesome a chick, um, lady I mean, is.”

Deena couldn’t help the heat that spread through her at his words. Men were always trying to get between her thighs, but most wanted the thrill of being able to say they fucked the ball buster, or they wanted something from her. She’d never had one gush about her. To her inner pleasure, she enjoyed it, and it baffled the hell out of her.

“I rocked his world,” she replied nonchalantly. “It happens. It doesn’t mean it’s the mating fever.” Despite the fact she’d wanted to bury her teeth in his sweet flesh, just like she wanted to do to his friend.

“So you didn’t want to mark him?”

“Doesn’t matter if I did or not. I have a reputation and a position to maintain. Sweet as your friend was, you and I both know he’s not cut out for the life of an alpha bitch’s mate.”

His brow creased, and he leaned forward, seeming to forget his initial trepidation. “But you’re the alpha. It’s not like your mate needs to be strong too. Simon’s brother is our pack leader and his wife is the sweetest little thing ever.”

Frank’s words spun her. She’d never thought of it like that. All her life, she’d looked for a man as strong or stronger than her to act as partner, and yet, she’d yet to meet another married alpha leader whose mate matched them in strength. “It’s different,” she muttered. “They’re men. You don’t know the shit I put up with. Shit my mate would need to be able to handle.”

“I don’t think you give Simon enough credit. As pack runts, we’ve both learned to deal with bullies.” At her arched brow, he smiled, a sweet look that made her sex tighten as moisture flooded it. “We don’t fight with our fists. We’re not stupid after all, but we have other strengths.”

“Such as?”

“Our intelligence. Trust me, we know how to handle bullies.”

Deena laughed. A great boast, but still, she knew the ways of the Lycans. Beating someone at a game of chess or Jeopardy hardly ranked up there with laying them flat on the ground, crying for their mama. “Oh, you’re a cute one. Come with me.” She stood and began to walk, only to realize he didn’t follow.

She stopped and turned  to look at him over her shoulder. “I don’t see you following. Don’t make me embarrass you by throwing you over my shoulder and carting you off cavewoman style.”

His chair went skidding back and he strode toward her, his lower lip caught between his teeth as he worried it.

When he reached her, she caught his hand and began dragging him to the elevators.

“Where are we going?” he asked.

She almost said to heaven. “To my room.”

“Wh-what for?”

Laughter pealed from her as she stabbed the button for the elevator. She turned to face him with a smirk. “To fuck of course. For some reason, I seem to be attracted to geeks this weekend. First, your buddy Simon, and now you. Congratulations. It’s your lucky day.”

“B-but…” He couldn’t seem to get any other word out, so she sighed as she shoved him into the elevator. The doors slid shut and she pinned him against the wall, a hand on either side of his body, leaning into him.

“You are protesting too much, which kind of pisses me off. You don’t want to make me angry do you?”

He shook his head vehemently.

“Good. Then shut up and let me fuck you. I know you want to.” She reached down to cup him, grunting in satisfaction at the hard package she found. It seemed geeks were better endowed than her usual steroid partners. What a bonus.

He turned his face when she tried to kiss him. “No. I can’t do this. Simon’s my friend. It wouldn’t be right.”

“Tell him you didn’t have a choice,” she purred forcing his face back.

Wide eyes stared at her, and while she could sense the inner battle he fought, he couldn’t hide his arousal.

“I don’t want to,” he stubbornly lied.

“Well I do, and I always get what I want.” She breathed the words against his lips. The elevator dinged before she could claim his mouth. The doors slid open and as she turned, a slim body went hurtling down the hall.

Seriously? That made twice in as many days that she’d had to chase down her lovers. What fun. This time, she didn’t bother with a slow stalk. She sprinted after him, tackling him before he reached the stairwell doors.

They hit the ground hard, his breath oomphing out of him, and before he could think to twist and slip way, she wrenched his hands over his head and pinned his body with hers.

“Gotcha,” she smirked.

“But Simon—”

“Can join us later. I’ve always wanted to try a threesome, and with you both being best friends, there’s no better time than now I’d say.” Just thinking of having the two intriguing men taking turns pleasuring her made her channel quiver in mini orgasm.
