I turned off the dome light and leaned back in the seat. Outside, a beautiful moon shone through the mist, and the cold rain fell on the living and the dead.
I closed my eyes and soon I was dreaming of the past, a speck of light in the iron darkness.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jon Bassoff was born in 1974 in New York City. In addition to his work as a writer, Bassoff is also the founder of the crime fiction publisher New Pulp Press. He lives in Colorado with his wife and two children. This is his first novel.
