Argus snapped his book closed loud enough for his mate to have heard and woke her up from the stupor she'd been in last night. Jacob was in the other room, waiting as well. Skye was definitely in for a shocker when she woke up. Griff had an awesome idea the moment they got the call. He already had the cuffs made for Valentine’s Day for his shop, he was going to have them on sale, so all they had to do was call Lacy’s mom and ask her to spell them.

When the girls arrived home, it had been simple because they were all too drunk to notice after they passed out that they’d had cuffs slipped on their wrists. Argus had been amused. Paige and Matthew were with Jacobs’s mom, who arrived last night as well.

Argus got great entertainment when his mate let loose, the girls’ night out always proved to be trouble. Skye had become almost as bad as their Alpha female, when it came to doing outrageous things. He was the liaison for all of the Magical community; he had meetings every day with a new Pack, Coven, or whatever wanted to be recognized. It was awesome and Skye had really taken to her position as a member of the Council. She helped him in the office and also worked with Ariel when the Prides combined. However, she needed a stress reliever; she got it when she was with all of the girls. However, last night, it went a bit too far considering the circumstances.

Jacob walked into the room and smiled. “Dude, lighten up, she had fun,” Jacob said.

Argus growled, “You know I don’t care about that. I just didn’t like that she was in a potentially dangerous situation without thinking. I don’t give a rat’s ass if she and the others blow off steam. I just don’t like what is being said in the community about Roarke trying to take whole communities for some reason. He is looking for something. We don’t know anything about the Fredi girl.”

“I agree, what is Devon saying about the whole thing?” Jacob asked

“He says she passed the background check, and when we have the meeting we will learn more. I guess she is truly Jo’s sister.” Argus relented. “If Roarke catches wind of this, we are going to have a big problem. She could be what he was looking for.”

“The cuffs will keep them safe for now, and be a bit of fun,” Jacob said and grinned.

They heard movement coming from the bedroom and Argus and Jacob grinned to each other. “Three…” Argus said.

“Two…” Jacob said.

“And…one…” Argus said and held up his finger.

“What the fuck are these things?” Skye bellowed.

The men chuckled. They’d known she was going to be pissed off. Skye was like that, and she definitely would not change. Her temper, since being ‘changed’ into a shifter, was gloriously amazing. Her eyes would flash and it turned both of her mates on.

Skye walked out of their room with her hands held out in front of her with a glare on her face and nothing else on her body. Both of them got hard at the sight of their naked wife.
Shit, she was hot.

She walked and stood right before him and chocked her hips. “Wanna explain these, I’m pretty sure when I went to bed I didn’t have these on.”

Argus grinned, “The guards don’t want anything to do with all of you, so they are protection for you. With them, if you go off the compound, alarms will rise, they have GPS, and they are spelled, you can’t take them off.”

“Really?” Skye said and put her arms down. “So, Marshall is a pussy, huh. Damn, drop a guy’s pants one time, and he is all like, ‘boo hoo’.

Argus narrowed his eyes and thought back to the first time they saw her, she snuck out of the place she worked to avoid them, and Argus had sent one of his most trusted guards into her room to snoop. Hadn't been the best idea he’d had…

Pulling her coat tightly around her body, she put her head down and walked quickly to her hotel. Once again, she grimaced when she looked at the place. She knew the two rooms in the front of the hotel were where the hookers worked. She’d met them. They were friendly and down on their luck like her. The only difference is they actually had a body they could make money with. She laughed to herself. She would never stoop that low.

Looking up at her room door, she frowned and stopped. It was cracked open. She’d not left it that way.
Oh hell no
, she thought and stomped her way back to the office to talk to the manager.

The old man sat at the desk with a lit cigarette dangling out of his mouth and reading a paper. He had to be a hundred and his scrawny chicken body was clad in a wife beater t-shirt and baggy brown pants. He looked like an over aged thug with hair growing out of his ears. She waved her hand in front of her face and said, “Hey. Someone was in my room. I need you to go and check it out.”

The old man snorted and didn’t say anything but pointed at the wall where a sign was posted. It said. “MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BELONGINGS THAT ARE LEFT UNATTENDED IN ROOMS.”

“Nice,” she said. “What if the bad guys are still in there?”

“Call the cops,” he said and went back to the paper he was reading.

She stomped her foot and turned to leave. “Can I use the phone at least?” she said thinking she was not going to wait to see if they were still there. If she called the police now, she could wait in the lobby where it was at least somewhat safe. The old man looked like he had a gun stashed behind the desk. He would at least protect himself, she would benefit.

He grunted and picked up the phone and dialed before handing her the receiver. She rolled her eyes, smiled sweetly, took the phone from him, and spoke to the dispatch. They assured her they were sending someone out immediately and she was to remain in the lobby until the police arrived.

“Thank you ever so much,” she said and handed the phone back to the old man.

He just grunted and lit another cigarette. Great, she was stuck with Mr. Puffy, while she waited for the police to show up.

She saw Bambi and Heather let a man out of their room and kiss and then wave at him while he got in his car. She smiled when they saw her, waved, and then walked her way.

“Hey, girl,” Bambi said. “Why are you hanging around grandpa here?” She laughed.

“Someone was in my room. I had to call the cops,” Skye explained and the girls narrowed their eyes.

“Well, at least our date left for the night. We won’t have to explain what we were doing with the handcuffs and whips.” Heather laughed and then peered out the window. “You think he’s still there?”

“Old man, get off your ass and see if Skye is being ripped off. I know you used to be in the mob or some weird shit like that. And I know you have a gun under that desk,” Bambi said over her shoulder.

The old man lifted up his hand and flipped her off. “I’m too old for this shit.”

“Yeah, true. Then give me the gun and we will go and check it out,” Heather said with her hand on her hips. “I ain't afraid no meth head looking for something to pawn. We can put a cap in his ass and then wait for the cops. Say we found him pawing through your panties and shot him. We won’t get charged on account of that law about defending your home.”

Bambi nodded and snapped her fingers at the old man. “Hand it over.”

The old man shrugged his shoulders and pulled a gun from beneath the counter. “Don’t matter to me, not registered in my name anyways.”

Heather smiled and grabbed the gun and waved for Bambi and Skye to follow her. They walked slowly against the wall. She almost laughed aloud because of the picture they made. Two tall sexy looking hookers with Dolly Parton hair and micro skirts, followed by a short fat woman in an unflattering uniform, one of them carrying a gun, the other two purses they held over their shoulders.

Bambi held up her hand and then motioned for them to get closer. She whispered, “He’s still in there. I can hear him rustling around. On three we go in.” The two girls nodded. Skye braced herself and then took a deep breath and followed the two hookers into her room.

“Freeze asshole,” Bambi yelled and held the gun in front of her.

The man, who was looking through the bag on the bed, froze. She was surprised; he did not look like a meth head. He looked like a normal good-looking man. What in the hell was he doing looking through her stuff? She began to get pissed.

“Get out of my bag. What in the hell are you doing? What do you want?” she asked and walked to the man who was standing still and looking at Bambi, who held the gun on him. He never saw her purse coming. It was full of rolls of quarters that she needed to do laundry with on her day off. It hit him in the side of the head and he dropped.

“Woo, girl, nice aim. Did you see that? She dropped him with one swing,” Heather cried and then ran to the man. She dropped her purse, pulled out her fuzzy handcuffs, rolled him over, and cuffed him. “Ha, take that. These babies aren’t just for fun and games, mister.”

Skye laughed and looked around the room. Nothing was torn up or out of place. It looked like he was being very careful not to make a mess. What the hell kinda robber was he?

“Shit, the cops,” Bambi said, pushed the gun in her purse, leaned against the desk, and crossed her feet looking like she was hanging out.

A young officer poked his head in the door and looked around. “Uh, we are looking for a Miss Thomas?”

“That’s her, we’re her back up. Did your job for ya, here’s the guy. Book him, Dano,” Heather said and then looked at her friends. “I always wanted to say that.”

Bambi nodded and then pointed to the man lying on the floor. “We came in and he was pawing through our girl’s bag. Skye just swung her purse, and dropped him, on account of her laundry quarters that were in the bottom. Now take him away.”

Skye felt laughter bubbling up inside her. This was crazy. She had captured a robber with two hookers and a couple of rolls of quarters. Her life was on a downward spiral. She had to stop it. Looking around the room, she sighed. She was not going to get the nice long hot shower she wanted. Nor was she going to get her sleep. The police entered the room and began to ask her questions.

This was going to be a fun day
, Argus thought, as Jacob leaned his head back on the couch with his eyes closed. She would run out of steam, and then they could totally have fun with the possibilities.

Argus listened as she yelled at them for the Enforcers being weenies. She wanted Devon to toughen up the training.

Lagon sat on the couch staring at his mate intently. She was going to have to wake up sometime. Blaze was in the bedroom, resting after having the first watch. Neither of them trusted Trinity when she had been drinking, hell, so far when she had been with the girls, she had gotten a full back tattoo, which although amazing, was a surprise. Then the piercings, which again, were amazing, but Cloe had way too much influence on Trinity.

Blaze and Lagon agreed to watch her in case she made a run for it, because when the Enforcers had finally gotten her home last night she had been talking about having her hair dyed. That was all they needed, their little wallflower turned out to be quite the rebel. They loved it, that she was sweet and adorable on the outside to the people she was meeting with, but at home, she was completely becoming an individual.

Trinity and her mates were special, Lagon was the only Dragon they were aware of, and he had a special mission to complete. Lagon was the children’s teacher. He was sent to make sure they were prepared for the battle they would face. What seemed to be a simple Prophesy was much more complex.

Blaze and Trinity took care of their other mission. They held the position of the New Council Registrars’ office, basically, they had to approve a Pack, Pride, Coven,
etc.
being formed. It was important since they needed to make sure who the leaders were. Some Alphas may not want what is best for the members and only want to use them. Trinity and Blaze did backgrounds on every Alpha who applied to be recognized.

Trinity grew out of her shyness, and with the help of the other girls, she really came into her own recently. It was cool to watch her become the strong woman they knew she could be. However, she was getting the whole New Council female attitude. Lagon and Blaze were at fault because they encouraged the other women to help her come out of her shell.

Of course, they looked at her past, she had been sheltered, so, Blaze and Lagon promised her when they were married to show her how full life could be. She made them keep their promise. When she was pregnant, she was carful, but she still did some pretty outlandish things. None of the other women actually cared. They thought it was amazing that their friend was involved in so many new things. Cloe especially, the two of them went skydiving and bungee jumping.

Lagon had to fight to keep his dragon in check. He’d been ready in each instance to shift and catch his mate when she left the ground. However, he held back, allowing her to find out if she liked something or not.

Blaze, on the other hand, paddled her ass when he found out. It had been kinda funny if Lagon admitted it. Last night, however, was not humorous. They made sure the women were guarded and always safe. However, they pissed off the Enforcers last night.

He watched as Trinity moved for the first time in six hours. She had to be still a little drunk, so he leaned forward and waited. Blaze would be awake in an instant if he made a noise. They had plans for their little mate.

Trinity made a noise and then raised her hand up, she opened one eye and saw the cuff that’d been placed on her arm and frowned. “Shit, did we go shopping again, this looks expensive, crap, the guys are gonna kill me,” Trinity said to herself, raised her head up, and groaned.

Lagon leaned back and cross his arms over his chest, Blaze appeared in the doorway, and he was pissed, each had slept only a few hours last night.

“Oh, you are in trouble all right,” Lagon smirked and watched as Trinity shot up in surprise. She groaned, held her head, and then looked around the room confused.

“Why am I in the living room?” she muttered and Blake barked out a laugh.

“Well, Pilar and Phillip woke up when you got home, and Lagon took them to the playroom so they wouldn’t wake you. I swear. This once a year drunken fest is like freakin crazy. Every time, the cops are called or someone gets a fucking tattoo or piercing. So what did you do last night?” Blaze snapped.

Trinity frowned and leaned back against the couch, she was pretty sure none of that happened. “Shit, nothing, except Jo came home with a sister. We were just along for the ride. Shea is the one who got wacky again. All I did was listen.”

“That is what you call it. When they brought you home, you were calling the Enforcers assholes for not taking you to the airport. Can I ask where in the hell you thought you were going?” Lagon asked smoothly.

Trinity shrugged. “So I’m sure you have heard about Jo, and her news, but did you hear the whole story?”

Blaze frowned at Lagon and then nodded. “Of course, we are having a meeting this afternoon.”

“No, you don’t know the whole thing, I should wait, but Lagon, I feel like maybe there is something you can do.”

“Why is that?” Lagon asked tilting his head and watching his mate, there was something going on in her head, and her ideas never seemed to be good for her mates.

“Well, you have a direct line to the Spirits, there has to be a reason we suddenly found Jo’s long lost sister. I mean, with what is going on, and now she has a mate. How in the hell does she fit into all this?” Trinity wondered aloud.

“I think maybe you need to wait until the meeting, so we can seriously talk about this as a group. I can ask the Spirits, but you know they will be cryptic as always,” Lagon said and Blaze agreed.

“What is it that we are missing?” Blaze asked.

“Well, when she shifted,” Trinity said slowly.

Her mates frowned and Blaze said, “Shifted? I thought she was a product of an affair after Jo’s mother died. If Jo’s mom were Oliver’s true mate, then Federica would not be able to shift. Only true mates can produce a shifter or magical person. You know that.”

Trinity rolled her eyes. “Duh, seriously, stay with me here. Fredi can shift, we all saw her. That is why the Enforcers called so many people to come and help transport. They knew the significance of what they saw. Yeah we were wasted, but we all knew too. Jo was shocked.”

“Would you just tell us already,” Lagon complained, and watched his mate stand up and stretch.

“Fredi is a White Wolf too.” Trinity shrugged and announced to her mates as if she was telling them dinner was done.

“WHAT?” Lagon bellowed. “Impossible.”

“Well, you may say that, but it’s true.” Trinity shrugged again, “I told you that’s what you probably needed to ask the Spirits.”

“Shit, let me see what I can do; meanwhile, Blaze will be taking care of the punishment, we both agreed,” Lagon said, stood up and kissed her hard and fast.

When he pulled away, she grinned and said, “Like that’s a punishment.”

Blaze growled and picked her up with one swoop and walked out the door. “When you are done communing with the Spirits, join me. I think our little mate will have problems sitting down for a week when I am done.”

Lagon chuckled and shook his head.
