Firstly, I have to thank my mother for always being there for me no matter what. She crafted and nurtured me into the woman I am today. I’ll forever be in her debt.

My step-father has always encouraged me creatively, and shown enthusiasm for everything I’ve ever done. He’ll never understand how much I appreciate his positive words.

My husband is a fantastic sounding board for plots and characters. His support has been relentless as well as his understanding that I needed to write this book, and hopefully many more. His smiles were given freely when I progressed, even though the housework wasn’t done, dinner was left uncooked and the washing remained in the overflowing laundry basket.

I need to thank my children for taking me out of morbid seriousness at the times I needed reminding that I have a ‘real’ life too.

I’ve met some amazing people on-line, both before and throughout this process. If I hadn’t of met R.W. Foster I’d never have believed that I was good enough to write a book. Thanks for showing me I could it, and forcing me into it.

To the people who read it first and gave me invaluable advice and direction. Beverly Hemming and Laura Clarricoates, you’re amazing ladies.

I’m lucky to be able to call Rik Bertrand a dear friend. He also read the pre-published version and based many poems on what he found within the pages. He delights and mesmerises me with his creativity everyday. I’m so happy that he allowed me to publish ‘Falling to Pieces’ the poem in this novel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Last but by no means least, I’d like to thank my hard working editor Todd Barselow for helping me to get my work to the best it could possibly be.

About the Author

L.T. Kelly was born and raised in Solihull, UK. She started writing short stories at school where her teachers offered her lots of feedback and encouragement.

Aged seventeen she joined the Royal Air Force, her career didn’t reserve a lot of time to write so she pushed her passion for it to the back of her mind.

After an eleven and a half career she started writing short stories again until a friend commented that she should write a novel.

She has always had an unhealthy obsession with vampires, so of course it was inevitable that a plot involving vampires would be the first to spring to mind.

L.T. Kelly lives in Lincolnshire, UK with her husband and two children.
