More to Come

So many people to thank for the release of this crazy and unexpected novel.

A novel that just popped in my head and
refused
to let go!

To the readers: You make my world go round. Thank you for always believing in me and for enjoying my stories.
You
keep me going. Every day.

To Sandra: This book wouldn’t be
half
as good without you. You are my superhero, and I am blessed, beyond belief, to call you my friend.

To Carrie: Thanks for always having my back! You are the best, love bug!

To Laura: Thank you for helping me make this book what it is. I couldn’t have done it without you. I will never call you Satan again. (Probably…)

To my mom: You never stop believing in me. You never stop helping me.
You never stop.
Period. My passion for writing stands on your shoulders. It is a great feeling to know that you have the best mother in the world.

I love you, and I am so grateful for you. I am so proud of the talented, wonderful woman you are.

EPILOGUE

BISHOP

Hands close over my throat in my sleep.

The pressure, crushing down over my esophagus, wakes me up.

Ghostly fingers attached to a shadowy figure clamp down around my throat, squeezing harder than anything I’ve ever felt.

I can’t breathe.

The crushing weight of the hold eliminates oxygen like the closing of a bottleneck. I gasp for air, lashing out as the burning pain in my shoulder and chest flames to blazing levels.

The fire spreads, consuming my entire body, and I can feel myself burning alive.

I bolt up in bed, choking.

But the room is empty.

There is no ghost. There are no fingers.

And the only noise in the room besides me is the soft breathing of a half-naked Dani lying beside me.

Her back is bare. White sheets cover her gorgeous ass, and her sunset-colored blonde hair sweeps over her naked shoulder.

One leg sticks out from under the covers, and I can see the scar of a not-so-easily forgotten wound.

A mark very much like the ones on my chest and shoulder.

Distinctive marks that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

I guess that happens when you’ve been hunted.
When you still
may
be hunted…

But after one trippy fucking dream after another and another errant minute of staring at Dani, I realize that, in the grand scheme of things, there’s only
one
thing that I
really
want.

And it has everything to do with this gorgeous creature hiding beneath my covers.

I touch her skin… and she stirs.

“Mmmm,” she moans, turning over. “Good morning.”

Her voice is sleepy—heavy, and seductive. I kiss her lips.

“Good morning, sun—” She stares viciously at me. I clear my throat. “Beautiful.”

She smiles. “Much better.” She props herself up on one elbow. “What are you doing up?”

I lie.

“Nothing. Just thinking about what I would make for breakfast. There’s some mango leftover from yesterday. I’m in the mood for some fresh juice.”

“Mm,” she agrees.

She grins slyly.

“There’s enough fruit in Thailand to make your head spin. I’m glad we decided to honeymoon here.” She stretches her arms. “And each one of those fruits is
fucking
delicious.”

I grin. “Not a goddamned one can compare to you.”

I nuzzle my nose between her naked breasts, sniffing.

“And I think it’s time I taste-test for myself.”

I flip my head under the sheets before she can speak another word. Over the white bedspread, under the even whiter blankets, I spread Dani’s legs to lay each thigh over each of my shoulders.

Nipping her thighs, blowing gently across her sex, I aim to drive my writhing wife to the brink and back again. I move in, starting to lick at the pulsating clit atop her pretty wet slit when she begins to moan.

Her breathy whimpers make my dick harder than the bedroom posts. Rising to my knees, I decide to pleasure her until her pussy practically sings.

I groan at how aroused she is when the phone in the hotel room unexpectedly rings.

She squirms out of my touch.

Shit,
” she hisses.

“Ignore it.”

“I can’t. It might be important.”

I dip my head even further.

“Nothing’s more important than this,” I say.

But still she slides away.

“It has to be the resort,” she whines. “Nobody else has this number. Maybe they have that massage oil I asked about.”

I chuckle.

You
need massage oil,” I point out. “I’ve got
all
the lubrication I need right here.”

Again, I try to taste her, but she turns to the side. She answers the phone, leaving my hungry mouth lonely, and I watch as she greets the person on the other line.

She clears her throat.

“Uh, yes. Dani Bishop speaking…”

She pauses for a second.

“Mmhmm. Yes, yes. Of course.”

The conversation sounds positively boring. I go for Dani again, ignoring her silent protest.

I stop immediately this time, however… because I can’t ignore the look of horror in her eyes.

Her green eyes widened, her skin turning pale, she clutches the phone in what could only be described as a death-grip.

I touch her skin and feel goose bumps. I lean in as her frightened irises shift to my face.

I start to panic.

“Dani, what is it?” Gimme the phone,” I demand. “
Who
is it? Is it your
father
?”

“No,” she answers.

Her face is as white as snow.

“It’s not my father, Bishop.”

Handing the corded phone to me, Dani’s cold, shivering skin touches my own.

It’s yours
.”

ABOUT

I’ve simplified my life into a three-part process:
I binge—I fuck—I come
…until I come to my senses.
That’s what my world has been ever since she came into my life.
And I was perfectly content with it staying that way…
Until I actually met her.
Mouthy dancer.
Blonde bombshell.
Elena.

My best friend’s soon to be sister-in-law.

Enemies before we’d ever laid eyes on each other, we were a match made in Hell—a cautionary tale of how
not
 to get along.
But when the spark between us sets our passions ablaze, how do we prevent the unexpected matches from turning our
flame
 into an
inferno
?
