‘Wow, you really do like him.’

‘I do and I don’t know how to tell him. Should I tell him?’

‘I don’t know. If it were me I wouldn’t tell him.’

‘Why?’

‘Because of the terms of the relationship. It isn’t about feelings.’

‘I feel as though I’m about to explode. At times I feel like pulling my hair out.’

‘Oh sweetie, I’m sorry. I really can’t offer you anything more. I don’t know what to say.

They were silent for a while. There was another knock at the door.

‘Your turn.’

‘It could be another parcel.’

‘Well then you can sign for it.’

The knock came again.

‘I’m coming, hang on!’ Ava called.

She walked back in with Harvey.

‘Hey,’ he said to Celine.

‘Hi Harvey.’

They hadn’t spoken since their last ordeal. She’d managed to avoid him as much as she could, but it looked like that time was over.

‘What you watching?’ he asked.

Celine shrugged, he
r mind elsewhere.

‘Nothing really, just scrolling through the channels. How’s things with you?’

‘Great. Haven’t seen you around lately Celine, how are things?’

‘Fine.’ She put away the dress.

‘Going somewhere?’ he nodded at the dress.

‘No.’

‘Then what’s that then?’

‘It’s a dress.’ She refused to enter into conversation with him, it only led to fights.

‘Is it from that Rhyland guy?’

‘Don’t start.’ Celine warned.

‘I’m not starting anything, I’m just asking.’

‘I don’t want to talk about it.’

‘Perhaps you’ll want to talk about your killer boyfriend.’ He wasn’t about to back down.

‘What’s wrong with
you?’ Ava asked.

‘It’s true ever since you told me the story about him taking care of his father I did some digging.’

‘Ava? You told him!’ She was livid. ‘Is that what you do, everything I tell you, you tell him.’

‘Hey, I’m looking out for you.’

‘Really, because it doesn’t feel like it.’

‘It turns out Rhyland Chambers killed his father. It was said it was self defence but the way he treats Celine I hardly believe it.’

‘Do you think any of this is going to make me like you more?’ she heaved.

‘I’m only making sure you’re not in any danger.’

‘I don’t need you to look out for me! How dare you pry into my life!’

‘It’s not your life it’s his.’

‘You know what, do as much investigating as you want! I don’t care! Nothing you do will ever make me like you more!’ she picked up the dress and was about to leave.

‘Celine you hurt me. The least you could’ve done was
apologise,’ he said.

‘What happened between us was a mistake and I’
m sorry. I’m sorry I led you on.’ She was tired, tired of it all. ‘It happened and I’m sorry now please just drop it!’ This time she stormed out of the living room to her bedroom. It was all overwhelming, she sat down on the floor for a while, she had to do something about it. She had to move on with her life. She just had to take control.

****

‘Where are we going?’ she remembered the last time she’d boarded the private jet.

‘It’s a surprise.’

‘Hmmmm, please tell me.’

‘Absolutely not. You look amazing by the way, have I told you that.’

She giggled, it was the third time he’d said it since they’d left the house. He walked over to the bar and popped open a bottle of bubbly.

‘Here you go, I want you to relax.’ He handed her the champagne. ‘T
his is going to be the best time we spend together.’

‘Is it
?’

‘I checked your schedule, you’re done for the year so you’re all mine.’

She wanted to protest, take back some control of her life but instead she took a sip of the champagne. It was a welcome taste, she just wished she could have more.

Rhyland was a lot more casual. He wore black jeans, with
a white shirt and a leather jacket. He looked handsome as usual and it killed her to admit it. If he wasn’t so damn handsome she would’ve chucked him a while ago. She was angry at her weakness, for letting him control her this way. For some reason she just couldn’t master any control over him, it was as if he’d taken over her some how, pulling the strings to her life.

After they’d taken off and it was safe enough to unbuckle the belts
he walked over to her and knelt down. He moved his hands along the short dress he’d bought her and pushed it up until it revealed her chocolate thighs.

‘If you could have anything in the world what would it be?’ he asked.

‘Is this a trick question?’ she asked.

‘Nope, just an honest one
.’

If she had to answer the question h
onestly what would that mean for their so called relationship? Would she have to give this all up?

‘Can I answer that a little later, I have to have time to think.’

‘Sure babe.’ His hands travelled to her middle and he pulled down her panties. ‘What do we have here?’ he began to finger her bush and she fell for him quickly. ‘You’re so juicy down there I can never get enough.’ He played with her for a little while.

She opened up to let him in a little more. It was divine pleasure, a place she could stay all her life if she could. But the truth was that it changed, after all of it, things just went from bad to worse. Her feelings tore her apart from the inside out. She did her best to keep them on lock down but every time she did she felt emotionally exhausted.

He moved his mouth forward and took her in. The best part, the part he loved. He loved to capture her into his mouth. He made a ridged tongue and slowly moved down the opening of her pussy. She pushed his head into her further just so that she could feel that extra pressure against her.

‘Oh yes!’ she said really low. ‘god yeeaaash!’

He added a finger to the mix and didn’t let up, didn’t give her a break. Instead he just became more intense. The more she wriggled with pleasure the more he gave.

‘I’m commming….oh god!’ Her head pressed into the back of the seat, her hands on t
he arms of the seat. She held on for dear life as he brought her into him. Her pussy clenched, and pulsated as she gave into her weakness.

He pushed back and got onto his feet. He placed both hands on the chair over his and gazed down at her and smiled.

‘What?’ she breathed.

‘You’re beautiful.’ He leaned in and kissed her lips gently. ‘Would you like another drink?’

She nodded not sure what to make of the kiss or the words in his eyes. It was so hard just not being sure about anything.

‘We’re almost at our destination you know, so you’ll have to gulp that down.’ He poured
the drink.

She took it and
with ease gulped it down.

‘Wow, I was only kidding about how fast you had to take it down.’

‘I needed it. Even if you didn’t tell me I would’ve still done the same thing.’

He smiled and lifted his glass to her and she nodded. They buckled up as the pilot mentioned they would be landing soon. She wondered where they were.
She looked out of the window but that didn’t tell her much about where they were. The tires hit the track and her stomach finally settled, she hated the take offs and landings.

‘Welcome to
Paris,’ he said with a wide grin.

Paris?’

‘Yes and we have a long day ahead.’

‘Will this be appropriate?’ she wondered about her dress.

‘You’re just perfect. I have a few business things I need to do but I won’t be long. My driver will drop you off
on Rue Fauborg St Honore, it is Paris’s most famous shopping streets. You will enjoy the best of the best. Prada, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, you will love it.’ He beamed, this was his world.

‘Looking forward to it.’

‘And take this; I had this done specially for you.’ He handed her a platinum card.

‘I can’t take this.’

‘Yes you can and you will, now go wild.’ They got to the car and the driver opened the door. ‘Get something nice for tonight, I’m taking you out,’ he said. ‘I’ll meet you back at my hotel, my driver knows where that is.’ The door was shut and she was left alone with a driver in a foreign country.

Rhyland walked over to the other waiting car, she watched as he hopped in and drove away.

‘Bonjour,’ said the driver.

‘Sorry but I don’t speak French.’ She smiled tightly. She could’ve made more of an effort but she was upset. Upset that he was treating her like a business deal. Like something he came back to when he needed to.

She browsed the shops without much interest. If it was on her own accord it would’ve been fun but it wasn’t. She did find pleasure in Zara and Sephora, it was more of her league and made her feel a lot more relaxed. She felt a little intimidated by the other shops but she had to get something for the evening. She braced herself, pushed back her shoulders and hoped she would be able to pull it off.

At first the assistants just looked at her, but she decided to
have fun with it. She spotted a light pink chiffon type dress. It was beautiful and asked to try it on. The assistant raised an eyebrow but soon noticed how serious she was that she took the dress and escorted her to the changing rooms.

The dress looked perfect all she needed was matching shoes. The shop assistants were whizzing back and forth with different styles of shoes and colours. It took a good ten pairs before she was satisfied.

‘Oui!’ said the assistant.

‘Yes! Yes that’s perfect.’

Both assistants clapped their hands relieved exchanging dialogue she could barley understand.

‘I’ll take these.’ She smiled and handed them everything.

All she did was hand over the card without flinching or hesitation. It felt good and even though she knew she could pay for the very items with her own money that she’d earned from him over the past months, she didn’t mind swiping the platinum card.

‘Merci,’ she said, the one and only word she’d remembered during her high school years.

They waved her goodbye and she was met by the driver who opened the door to the Bentley and took her straight to the hotel. Rhyland wasn’t back from his business meetings but there was a message for her to be ready by half seven. That gave her a good three hours to just relax and do nothing. She floated around the hotel out of interest, landed herself a massage, pedicure and manicure. By the time she got back to her room there was just enough time for a shower and to get ready.

She took one look at herself in the mirror and knew she’d made the right choice. The dress floated to the ground hiding the black glossy shoes. It was an off shoulder dress and complimented her skin colour brilliantly. She finished off with a dark pink lipstick, some blusher. She added a silver headband to her hair and felt like a princess. It was
fun; she felt a weight lift off her shoulders just for a moment. Perhaps Ava was right, perhaps she should just enjoy what she had, she was still young and there was plenty of time for love.

At exactly seven thirty there was a light knock on the door. Her heart skipped. She was a little nervous, worried about what he’d think of her outfit. But as soon as she opened the door she knew she’d done a good job. He just stood there mesmerised, his eyes shone with pride and she could tell he was so happy to see her.

‘Wow! You look…you look stunning!’ He wrapped his hands around her and planted a kiss on her lips. He held her out and twirled her around. ‘You look amazing babe.’ He took her back into his arms.

‘You don’t look so bad yourself.’ She smiled.

He was in a black tux looking handsome than ever.

‘Shall we?’

‘Where are we going?’ She felt giddy and just for that night she would forget everything that was happening.

‘I am taking
to a place I love to go. It’s a very unique place.’

‘Will I be able to hold the silverware?’ she joked. ‘Or eat the food. This isn’t my world.’

‘Don’t worry my dear, you’ll soon learn through experience.’

They arrived at the restaurant. They were met, coats taken and taken to their reserved seating. Celine took one look at the menu and knew she wouldn’t know how to order any of it. Rhyland called for the waiter and ordered wine. She w
atched as he spoke French fluently and was so confident in the presence of these people. She on the other hand felt terribly uncomfortable.

‘Are you not enjoying yourself?’ he asked.

‘Oh I am, just feel a little bit out of place.’

‘Look at
you; you look the part all you have to do is play the part. Look around you. Look at how they do it.’

She looked at the groups of people around
her; it was if she was on a movie set. As people arrived men stood, they kissed each other multiple times on the cheeks without actually touching their cheeks. They called over waiters and ate as if they were eating something so delicate it would break. She giggled at it all.
