Ashley slipped her arm around Jay’s waist
and pressed her finger to her lips. “Sssh, not in front of my beautiful
granddaughter.”
Derek grinned at Victoria as he nodded his
head toward his wife. “You do realize you’re gonna have a doting nana over at
your place twenty-four seven, don’t you?”
Victoria smiled up at Jay. “We don’t mind.
Family’s always welcome in
our
home.”
Jay kissed her hand as he looked into her
eyes. “God, I love the way that sounds.”
“Okay,” Trey said, making his way toward
the door. “It’s time to give the happy little family some alone time. Let’s
go.”
Jay waited for everyone to file out of the
room before he dropped to his knee in front of her. “I know you said you wanted
to give it a little time before we got married, but promise me you won’t make
me wait too long to make you my wife?”
Victoria giggled. “It only seems fair to
make you wait. I’ve been waiting my whole life for you.”
