Reaching down, she followed the urge to stroke him while
their mouths made slow, slumberous love. The kind she’d almost forgotten to
crave.

After a couple of moments they pulled apart, breathing hard,
and he tapped his chest. “Well, look at that. Didn’t smear.”

“Fast-drying paint.”

“I love preschool teachers.” He wound his fingers through
her curls, pulling gently while their kisses resumed. “I also love shower sex,”
he added between rounds.

“Do you?” She rubbed her finger over his damp lips,
shivering when he drew the tip between his teeth. “Never had it.”

“No way.”

She shrugged. “Lon said the shower wasn’t big enough for
both of us.”

Jeff braced his hand on the wall and shook his head. “One
thing about him was huge, I have to agree. He’s an enormous dick. Enormous.”

“Nope. I can put that rumor to rest. So…not.”

He laughed, eyes lighting suggestively. “Sounds like it’s
time to prove how wrong he was.”

It felt so wonderful to laugh with him. “Please do.”

“What else have you never had?” he asked as he opened the
frosted glass door.

“Hmm.” She pretended to think. “Multiple orgasms, at least
without a couple hours’ break between. Sometimes twenty-four hours.”

“That’s not a break. That’s a full stop.” Jeff led her into
the shower and shut the door, caging her against the tile wall without turning
on the water. “Don’t worry, it’ll be an easy fix.”

Then he set about licking and nibbling her throat, marking
her skin without thought to modesty or anything else she worried about entirely
too much. Somehow she doubted he ever concerned himself with how things looked.

She hadn’t dated after Lon left for just that reason. The
fear of the whore label had kept her firmly off the market. One of the other
teachers—a decent guy—had asked her out repeatedly but she’d refused. Keeping
up appearances had always mattered more than what she wanted. But before
tonight, she’d never wanted like this.

Somehow he’d flipped some switch inside her she’d been too
set in her ways to flip on her own. She could only be thankful she’d
encountered him while she still had a chance of turning things around.

He palmed her breast, squeezing it in time with the
movements of his thigh between her legs. She could feel herself growing wetter,
her body already climbing for that pinnacle she’d reached not that long ago.
But she wanted more. He’d promised her multiple orgasms were hers for the
asking and she couldn’t wait to prove him right.

“Can you—” She stopped to breathe. “Can you fuck me?”

His grin made the breath she’d just caught hitch again. “I’d
be happy to. Later. No condoms in here. Forgot them on my way in and can’t
leave you now.”

Her belly warmed. It was probably a line, just typical guy
stuff, but it made her feel…nice. Surprisingly, he did pretty well at verbal
cuddling.

“Excellent point.” She wet her lips and curled her hand
around his cock. “I’ll give you a blowjob instead. If you want.”

It wasn’t the most seductively phrased suggestion ever but
he didn’t seem to mind. He also didn’t hesitate to nudge her down in front of
him, the subtle command in his touch more exciting than she’d have guessed.
She’d played the submissive way too often in her life to think she’d like doing
it in bed too. Or the shower. But maybe she hadn’t experienced enough to know
what she liked.

Damn good thing she’d embarked on a mission to find out.

He released a long groan when she drew him into her mouth,
rolling her tongue over his stiff length until his thigh tensed under her hand.
She sucked him gently at first, gaining speed and boldness from his quick
pants. He clearly liked how she handled him. How she licked and nuzzled and
sipped from the tiny slit that bore the proof of his desire for her.

Glimpsing the dark sac that hung between his legs, she
tongued his cock head while she fought with her own impulses. Would he like it
if she tasted him there too? She’d never done that before but she was really
tempted. Just in case she went back to her typically ho-hum sex life, it seemed
prudent to satisfy as many curiosities as she could tonight.

Besides, picturing licking him there seemed so sexy and
dirty, so
not
like Karyn Colette Allison, she wanted to do it just on
principle.

Her clit pulsed and she pressed her thighs together. Having
him invade her this way turned her on big-time. His heady scent—damp, soapy,
male
—and
his grunts increased her arousal, making her rhythmic squeezes a pathetic
substitute for the thick cock in her mouth.

Now in her throat, thrusting deeper. Bumping her teeth,
stretching her cheeks. She moaned around him and the vibration had Jeff closing
his eyes, dropping his head back, his abdomen clenching so that she could see
individual muscles in his stomach quivering as he restrained himself. She
sensed his internal war with every stroke.

But she didn’t want him to hold back. She wanted him to lose
himself inside her, to feel as driven by lust as she did.

So she’d have to take him there.

She slid his cock out and leaned forward to nip his clenched
thigh, drawing in more of his potent scent. That primal aroma contrasted so
sharply with the crayons, water paints and chalk she smelled every day that she
couldn’t seem to breathe enough in. She feathered her fingertips over his
balls, delighting in his hiss of pleasure as she licked the soft,
hair-roughened skin. He tasted good here too. Deliciously earthy. Somehow…raw.
Vulnerable.

He yanked her up before she could explore as fully as she
wanted, cupping her face in his hands while he slanted his mouth over hers. She
swallowed his need with every slide of his tongue and reveled in his sensuous
growl when he parted her thighs and found her slippery and slick. He didn’t
waste time with additional foreplay, just sank his fingers deep.

Moaning, she dropped her head to the tile wall and willingly
turned her body over to him. She no longer possessed the faculties to claim it
as her own.

She gasped at his intrusion even as she rocked against him
to take more. In embarrassingly little time, her inner walls tightened and her
release trickled into his pumping hand. He held her up, supporting her with one
arm around her back and his mouth feeding her the breaths she was too spent to
take herself.

“You’re so responsive,” he said, moving back just far enough
to suck in some air. “I bet I could make you come just from doing this.” He
withdrew his fingers and slid them along her seam, pulling a shudder from her
as one digit darted between her lips to flick her clit. “A couple strokes and
that’s all it takes.”

“Not usually. Trust me.”

“You’re still gasping.” He nibbled her jaw. “Gonna need an
oxygen tank soon.”

“Go ahead. Enjoy your swell of manly pride in making the
poor little neglected schoolteacher come. Just…” She trailed off as he pressed
harder and the first tingles reignited in her core. “God, do it again.”

“Poor? Little? Neglected?” Jeff nipped her chin, harder than
she expected. “You’re not poor. Not little.” He grabbed her ass and squeezed.
“You’re built exactly the way a woman should be. And if you’ve been neglected—”

“It’s my own fault.”

“No, it’s because you married a fucking dickhead.”

Karyn laughed, throwing her head back so hard against the
tiles that she really did see stars. Even the pain thudding at the base of her
skull couldn’t distract her from the sparks swirling to life in her lower
belly. Heat coiled and spread and she thrust her hips out shamelessly, offering
more of her pussy to his wandering hand.

And he took. Oh, sweet heaven, he took.

She cried out as another orgasm took hold, spinning through
her and taking the last of her mental clarity with it. When she slumped against
his shoulder, he murmured into her ear. “See? Multiples are easy.”

Before she could respond, he reached around her and turned
on the shower. The water spurted over them, taking a moment as always to settle
into a flow. By then he was soaping her hair.

“Uh, Jeff, I have shampoo,” she said, lifting her voice
above the water.

“This is fine.” He lathered harder, digging into her scalp
with the hands that had just been all over her body.
In
her body. Even
thinking that made her squeeze her thighs together as he dragged her closer,
sliding his wet body against hers in a sensual glide that made them both groan.
“Gotta switch to cold,” he muttered with one final regretful glance at her
breasts.

She giggled as she saw the reason why. If anything he’d
grown even harder. Even thicker. “Ouch.”

“Yeah. After we get cleaned up, I’m taking you to bed.” He
thumbed her wet hair out of her eyes. “Okay?”

Karyn’s lips curved. He looked so big in her tiny shower,
dwarfing the small space with his broad shoulders and overwhelming presence.
She circled her arms around his waist, loving how he drew her even more tightly
against him.

It had been so long since she’d been with a man who wasn’t
her husband. Even then they hadn’t played like this. At least not recently. It
hadn’t always been so businesslike with Lon, but for the past few years orgasm
had been his lone goal. He always endeavored to make her come too, however weak
his efforts might have been. At least he’d tried. She’d tried as well, offering
the occasional blowjob and suggesting ways to spice up their sex life.
Sometimes he seemed into it, sometimes not. His preference had usually been
straight sex. On the nights work sapped him, he’d thrust until she was nearly
chafed and sleepy to boot.

Which, she supposed, said as much about her as it did him.
If she’d been so uninvolved that she always rolled over and went right to sleep
after he got off, she probably hadn’t been a rip-roaring time for him either.

Years ago their relationship had been different. He’d never
been a romantic and didn’t know a tulip from a rose. Making love hadn’t been a
phrase in his vocabulary. But he’d been a good listener and at the beginning
their sex life had been decent. Not spectacular but acceptable.

Dear God,
acceptable
? But all she’d had to compare it
to was more of the same. Her other lovers had been okay in bed, but not
outstanding. She hadn’t really expected them to be. She’d ranked excellent
lovemaking right up there with the possibility that unicorns really existed.

No wonder this whole night seemed like a fantasy. Amazing
sex that came with laughter and fun? Who knew people actually experienced such
things? She sure hadn’t.

“Karyn?” Jeff asked, concern erasing his easy smile. “You
okay?”

Easy. That’s what she loved most about all of this. It had
all been so easy. She didn’t have to work to maintain her interest or feign
desire. They didn’t have a dying relationship that seeped into the bedroom and
colored every interaction. She and Jeff were just enjoying each other.

Even if it was just for tonight, she’d finally discovered
how it felt to be authentic. To ask for what she wanted and have a snowball’s
chance of getting it.

“Perfect.” She patted the smiling daisy on his chest he’d
yet to wash away. “Hurry up. I’m ready for bed.”

* * * * *

Jeff spent a sizeable part of the night in her bed. And in
her body. Of the two, he had to say he appreciated her curves more than her
design sense.

Everything in her bedroom matched. Heavy navy drapes,
velveteen-looking dark-blue spread, small touch lamp on the nightstand painted
with bluebells. At least he thought they were bluebells. Then it got
really
girly. Blue ruffles hid the legs of the bed. A gaudy gold mirror hung on the wall
above the fancy dresser and ribbons of different colors and lengths hung off
the points. Did she sew too? Or use them on her hair?

It was a big space, without a hint of the man who’d once
shared it with her. Unless he’d been into glossy photographs of flowers in
bloom or the silky, multicolored fabrics stretched over the arm of the plush
armchair—navy, of course—in the sitting area. He half expected to see a tea set
on the coffee table.

He admitted the room was pretty. As she was. But he couldn’t
see a guy here. Not without some serious redecorating.

Why the hell was he thinking about that? How she chose to
outfit her house was her deal. Even if she wouldn’t be living there that much
longer. A damn shame, really. She shouldn’t have to leave a place she loved.
Especially not because of Lonny goddamned James.

The prick.

“Tell me about your sister.”

He glanced at Karyn where she was sprawled out beside him,
her dark hair a wild tangle over her shoulders and her rosy lips swollen from
kisses. And blowjobs. Something she happened to excel at, once she’d gotten
past her initial hesitation.

She drank her wine, rolling it around in her mouth as she
let her head fall back. Lamplight played over her skin, skimming the hollows of
her throat. He’d love to drink from her there. Everywhere. Sip at her skin
until she yielded in his arms.

“This was a great choice,” she said. “Nice and dry.”

“Yeah, I spent quite a while searching for just the right
one.”

Her knowing smile made him grin. “Five minutes?”

“Closer to three. But my knowledge of wine could be held on
the head of a pin. I’m not a big drinker.”

“So what’s your beverage of choice?”

“Usually water.” He shrugged. “When I’m thirsty, there’s
almost always a fountain or a tap right there.”

“Since I spend most of my time carting around an
ecologically friendly tumbler to show the kids I practice what I preach, I
approve heartily.” She ran her fingertip around the rim of her glass. “I’d be
happy to share some of my wine knowledge with you. The difference between Pinot
Noir and Shiraz, what foods pair well with—” She stopped, laughing softly.
“You’re staring.”
