“Well you’re doing a bang up job of it,”
Ivy said, turning and walking out of the room and up the stairs.

“Get back here,” he called after her.

She ignored him and continued up the
steps.

There
has to be a bus station—somewhere I can go where I can catch a ride back
to the city.

Fuck staying here with
someone who doesn’t appreciate me.

“Ivy,” Cullen called, and she heard his
footsteps following her.

“Leave me alone,” she replied tersely.

The waves in the harbor had picked up and
a breeze rattled the windows of the house.

“I need to know what you got me involved
with,” Cullen said, as he reached the top of the stairs.

Ivy spun around and faced him.

“I can’t fit into your little perfect system,
Cullen.

I can’t know all the ways
to please you and make you happy without stepping over the line.

I can’t keep track of your rules.”

He shook his head.

“It’s very simple.

Just remember that unless I ask you to
do something for me—don’t do it.”

“That’s ridiculous.”

“It’s how things work.”

He pointed at her.

“And you should know that by now.”

“Well, I’m a human being and I made a
mistake,” she said.

“I fucked up.

Okay?

I was scared and I was guilty and you
were in jail because of me.

Your
lawyer said it was a very serious situation, and when the opportunity to help
you came up—I took it.”

He folded his arms.

“What opportunity came up?

Something to do with that
woman?

And the surgery that
I told you wouldn’t ever work?”

Ivy put a hand to her forehead and
rubbed.

“Her father is friends with
the district attorney,” she said.

“And she was able to negotiate for your release.”

“Christ,” he whispered.

“I think I can guess the rest of
it.

I was released in exchange for
agreeing to perform her sister’s brain surgery.”

“I told them I would ask you to do it,”
Ivy said.

“And look—they held
up their end of it.

You’re free.”

His eyes flashed cold and brilliant.

“I’m hardly free,” he said.

As he walked closer to Ivy, his dark
hair fell over his forehead and he brushed it aside.

“I told you I would never do that
surgery—and certainly not at gunpoint.”

“It’s a good deal,” Ivy said softly.

“How the hell would you know?” he
replied.

“Did you go to medical
school recently without me knowing?

Do you have access to her sister’s medical charts, brain scans, x-rays?

Do you know what the chances are of
success?”

“No,” she admitted.

“But I know that with the way things were
going, you were probably about to spend a lot of time behind bars.”

Ivy’s eyes grew teary.

“I just wanted to get you out of there.”

Cullen reached out and gripped her
shoulders and looked into her eyes.

“I know your heart was in the right place,” he said.

His voice softened.

“But this will not work.

I will not be blackmailed.

And so we’re going to call Peg Woodhouse
and tell her the deal’s off.”

Ivy pulled free of his grip.

“If you do that, the district attorney
is going to go after you with everything in his power, Cullen.

They can ruin you.”

He grinned.

“Let them try.

I’ve had the FBI after me, and corporate
spies.

I’ve had enemies for as long
as I can remember, and they all thought they could take me down.

What’s one more guy coming after me?”

“The difference is, now you’ve been
arrested twice.

You have cases
mounting against you.

I hate to
tell you, Cullen, but those guys are winning.”

He took a step back, blinking, as if
she’d struck him.

“That’s not
true,” he said, but for the first time, she saw uncertainty in those cold blue
eyes.

“Think about it,” she told him.

“They have enough evidence to arrest you
for homicide.

They have a
case.

You’ve got problems that
aren’t going away just by trying to keep moving forward like nothing’s changed.

Things have changed, Cullen.”

He scratched his jaw and turned to look
out the window, his eyes searching the horizon.

“I can’t do that surgery,” he said,
after a time.

His voice sounded
almost broken.

“What do you have to lose?”

He looked back at her now, and his
expression was a mixture of fear and sorrow and rage.

“The very last thing I have left.

The belief that I can trust myself.”

She fell silent.

Here was a man who’d tried to control
every single aspect of his life down to the most miniscule detail, and now it
was all falling apart.

He’d lost control and he knew it.

“Cullen,” she said.

“No,” he replied, louder now, his voice
taking on a hungry tone.

He walked
towards her.

“No.”

His jaw jutted forward.

“No.”

She licked her lips.

“I know I’ve been bad,” she whispered.

He nodded.

“That’s right.”

For Cullen Sharpe, she would do
this.

She would bend.

She would even break, if it was what he
needed right now.

Ivy began removing her clothes.

“And I know that means I need to be
punished.”

“Finally, you’re making sense,” he
breathed, watching her with desire that he didn’t try and hide.

When she was finally naked, she turned
without comment and bent over the couch, exposing her backside to him.

“I haven’t decided whether you should get
the hand or the belt,” he growled.

“Whatever you think is best, sir.”

She gripped the pillow on the couch and
readied herself.

Cullen’s palm struck her buttocks with
brute force and she let out a startled cry.

He grabbed her ass cheeks with both
hands, firmly.

“Keep your voice
down,” he told her.

“Take your
punishment.

Deal with it.”

“Yes, Sir.”

And then he began spanking her, switching
hands back and forth, first slapping her right butt cheek and then the left.

SLAP.

SLAP.

SLAP.

SLAP.

Each time it stung and she closed her
eyes and grimaced, gritting her teeth hard.

SLAP.

SLAP.

SLAP.

SLAP.

Cullen was breathing heavily, and she
could feel his presence behind her, his heat emanating from him as he worked
her over with his heavy hands.

It hurt, maybe as much as anything he’d
ever done to her.

And yet-and
yet—she couldn’t deny that other part that was just as strong.

The excitement.

The wetness between her legs.

Being naked before him, completely at his
mercy, and knowing that somehow this was what he needed.

This release, this control—it was
a part of
him,
it was a part of them.

Her pussy throbbed and vibrated with
every hard crack of Cullen’s hand against her backside, and she could feel how
red and raw her ass was from the hammering he’d given her.

Each time, she thought it would surely be
the last one.

But he continued striking her.

Ivy bowed her head and grunted, and
grimaced, and shook.

Her legs weakened.

Cullen finally seemed to have spent
himself as he gave her one last, hard spank on her right buttocks.

She collapsed onto the couch.

“Get up,” he said.

She turned and looked at him, touching
her butt and wincing.

“You must
hate me,” she said.

“Hardly,” he told her.

“But you don’t learn.

What will it take?”

“I don’t know.

Maybe I’m incorrigible.”

Cullen undressed in front of her, taking
off his pants and boxers, his shirt, and soon he was standing naked before her,
his erection at full height.

“I’m going to sit down on the couch now,”
he said.

“And you’re going to
please me with your mouth.

Just
your mouth.”

He sat down on the couch and stretched
his muscular legs forward.

Ivy got on her knees in front of him, and
then she put her lips on his cock.

“Just your mouth,” he reminded her.

“No hands.”

She began sucking him off, keeping her
hands behind her back.

It was
actually very difficult, and it was a strain on her.

Cullen’s cock was huge, prodding her
mouth, digging further and further back as he stroked in and out, between her
lips as she stretched her jaw as wide as possible.

“Deep throat me,” he said.

“Take me in all the way now.”

She did as she was told, even though she
was pushing herself to the limit.

Taking in his enormous shaft, which
seemed larger and larger as she tried to force it all the way into her mouth.

It filled her mouth with its heat, like a
muscled missile, and she could sense his excitement as it crammed deeper and
deeper down her throat.

“Fuck,” Cullen groaned.

Her lips were at the base of his cock
now, at his balls, and she was slurping, sucking, her tongue swirling all around
his shaft.

She tried to suck his balls too, tried to
see if there was a way to take him deeper.

“Oh, God,” he said, surprised.

“Oh, fuck, Ivy.

How—how in the hell are you doing
that?”

She began giving him head more
confidently, sensing that something had changed.

Finally, she’d surprised him sexually.

She was so new to it all, so confused, so
naïve.

But now she realized that
maybe Cullen Sharpe hadn’t seen everything she had to offer.

Even though it was difficult and she was
at the edge of her own capabilities, there was a certain power in knowing how
much she was exciting him, turning him on.

She wanted to make him come before he was
ready to come.

And so that was her new goal.

She began sucking more forcefully, and
taking him deeper and deeper, letting his shaft penetrate her mouth, relaxing
her jaw as she sucked and slurped and her saliva pooled around the base of his
penis and dripped down his balls.

Soon, she knew he was going to climax.

“Christ,” he whispered again.

She felt his body tensing.

“Jesus Christ,” he said, and then again.

She bobbed her head up and down at a
rapid fire pace, and soon he was shooting everything into her mouth, and
arching his hips up to her, and she let it happen.

Ivy closed her eyes and focused on
swallowing, taking every last bit of it, as Cullen pulsed, shooting a massive
amount of semen into her mouth.

She sucked it all.

She pressed her lips to his balls and
sucked, feeling it shoot hot and salty down her tongue and her throat.

Swallow.

Swallow.

And then she finally came gasping up for
air.

Cullen was staring at her with surprise
in his blue eyes.

“How the hell did you do that?” he asked.

“Maybe you’ve underestimated me,” she
laughed, standing up, her back cracking a little, her ass sore from the
spanking he’d given her.

“Maybe I did,” he said, still seemingly
in shock.

As she stood there, she saw his cock was
already stiffening again.

“Ivy, get over here,” he said.

“Are you serious?”

“I need to be inside you.”
