“[
T
he Spy Who Kissed Me
] is one of those books that defies categorization. It's romantic, mysterious, adventurous, suspenseful…Ms. Jones has a way with a plot. A very winding, twisting, intriguing way. She also has a way with characters, and a way with dialogue. Yet another unique and immensely talented author who has written a unique and imminently satisfying book. Oh and by the way, it's funny too. Really funny, not just slapstick funny. And books that are really funny are not that easy to find.”

Acknowledgments

I
'd like
to thank my editors, Jessica and Richard Llanes, for their assistance in whipping this book into shape. They make a great team and I couldn't have done it without them.

I'd like to thank Elizabeth Vargas Greer for my amazing cover art. My books are never easy to capture in a single image and she knocked it out of the park.

Which brings me to my husband, Greg Jones. Thank you for letting me be the one who has permission to use your wonderful images and supporting my career for so long.

I'd also like to thank my copyeditor, Ana Baird. I would not want to clean up my mistakes, so I very much appreciate that she is willing do it. And another hearty thank you to Alexis Glynn Latner for coming in behind with insight and a keen eye to help with that final polish.

I would like to thank Heather Massey, Terry Cate, and Sharon McNulty for their friendship, help, encouragement and support.

I would be remiss if I did not also thank all the independent authors who have forged the path for those of us who follow and so graciously and willingly shared what they've learned.

About the Author

P
auline Baird Jones
had a tough time with reality from the get-go. After “schooling” from four, yes FOUR brothers, she knew that some people needed love and others needed shooting. Pauline figured she could do both. Romantic suspense was the logical starting point, but there were more worlds to explore, more rules to break and minds to bend. She grabbed her pocket watch and time travel device and dove through the wormhole into the world of science fiction and even some Steampunk.

Now she wanders among the genres, trying a little of this and a lot of that, rampaging through her characters' lives like Godzilla because she does love her peril (when it's not happening to her). Never fear, she gives her characters happy endings. Well, the good characters. The bad ones get justice.
