He guided her to the couch in front of the
fireplace and picked up a remote that turned on soft lights and a
gas fireplace. Neither one had spoken since she whispered into his
ear, and she wondered what could be going through his mind at the
moment.

With raspy tone, she spoke out at the exact
same time as him. A soft ‘so’ resounded throughout the room. They
both cracked a smile, and light laughter filled the air. Then as if
it was his show, she watched him as he began talking.

His coat that she had borrowed was placed on
a spare chair, and she was enjoying the muscular physique of his
tight black turtleneck he was wearing and fitted black jeans. A
change from what he had been wearing when they first met earlier
today. Then she realized he had asked her a question, and she had
not answered since she had been examining every inch of his body
and wanting what was under his clothes. His naked muscular body and
her hands trailing over every inch of it.

“…as I was saying, the cinnamon rolls here
are excellent. I take that smile on your face means you like cream
and sugar in your coffee. Let me get that coffee started, and then
I’ll order up the rolls.”

She watched him move about with efficiency
and the ordering of the rolls done with a few simple words. With a
bit of nervousness in her voice, since she had been caught off
guard staring, she felt now was the best time to ask a few
questions of her stranger.

“Yes. Cream and sugar would be perfect. A
little bit of coffee with my cream and sugar, I always say." She
teased with a bit of laughter at her inside joke of how she liked
her coffee sweet. She took the opportunity to toss a flirtatious
smile at him as she began to ask more personal questions. "So John,
tell me exactly what you are doing here? I mean you obviously don’t
live in this penthouse off just covering for your brother at his
bar. Where do you normally live?”

Standing at the kitchen counter, he began
prepping the cups for coffee as he looked up at her with the most
delicious grin. Just as he set the creamer on the countertop, he
started walking towards her as he answered her questions. “Long
Beach, California is currently my home. I live right on the beach.
Far cry from New York but my brother and I grew up not too far from
where he opened his bar. When my mother fell ill, my dad needed
help, my brother was the one to take the burden. Now that my mother
is gone and my brother fell ill, well, I am just glad that I am in
a position to be able to fly out and take some time off work to
help him out.”

“I’m sorry. About your mother that is. So
what exactly is wrong with your brother?” She turned sideways and
moved over as he sat down on the couch next to her.

“My brother had a heart attack and has a few
nasty health habits. He had by-pass surgery and well; I feel
responsible for him even though I’m the younger one.”

“So he doesn’t have a family of his own?”

“No. His dating habits are as bad as his
health ones. Let’s say he’ll be a perpetual bachelor.”

“And you? Married before? I mean divorced.
There is no ring on your finger.”

“I’m afraid I haven’t found the right
woman.”

“Would you know her if you met her?”
Wondering where the personal question seeped out so quickly, she
had to think about what this man meant to her. Could she do a
one-night stand and walk away? Would her romantic side take over
and expect more out of this? She knew the answer without too much
mental debate. As delectable as he looked at that moment, she
figured a little bit of early Christmas present to herself couldn’t
hurt. She was sure he would have a nice package underneath his dark
and mysterious clothes.

John heard the last of the coffee gurgle in
the pot as she asked the question with such an intensity. He
started to rise and then he sat back down and laid a soft gentle
kiss on her lips with his hand holding her neck. After that, he got
up and answered her as he headed into the kitchen to pour the
coffee. “To answer your question, I thought I was in love once, but
it didn’t work out. Some days I think I will never find a woman as
good as my mom was. So, no. I don’t think I would know her if I met
her. I would probably need her to scream, shout, and hold up a sign
in front of my face. I’m not an easy catch. However, here you
are.”

She watched him walk into the kitchen and
began to pour the coffee. Thinking to herself, and here I am. Yes,
here I am. With a man who is a self-proclaimed bachelor. A hard
catch. A love em and leave em, yet here I am. I think he just laid
the cards on the table. Question is; do I play it out for a nice
prize or do I fold?

The sound of the clanking of the spoon
against the side of a coffee cup broke her mental clatter. She
smiled as he walked towards her with two large cups of coffee and
that devilish grin on his face. As if he knew that he was going to
get laid, and he was good at it. After the mistletoe kiss, she
could not doubt it and figured he probably was going to get laid,
and she was going to get her heart broken. However, having sex with
this man would fulfill so many of her recent fantasies of finding a
man like him to take care of her sexual whims.

As he offered her the coffee, she accepted
graciously and watched him set his on the table standing next to
her. She answered his comment about being here. “So here I am.
John. How did I catch you?”

“Hold that question. The cinnamon rolls are
here.”

She had not even heard the chime of the
elevator door since her mind had been mentally undressing him while
having an internal war of common sense versus sexual desire. Her
naughty side was definitely going to win out here tonight. Because
the minute she walked through that bar door with that eat me alive
red dress and four-inch fuck me heels and her hair all dressed up
to play, she knew she announced her game. She was a big girl and
expected the full-throttle experience of one John Tally.

Her good girl side kept telling her the
exhilarating feelings she is having are great but what is
underneath it all that is important. She had watched a man at work
tonight that seemed genuine. When he mentioned taking time off from
work in California to come here and help his brother, she could
have cried out ‘how sweet', but he clued her in. He was a permanent
bachelor type. Not the marrying kind. Not the permanent boyfriend
kind. That thought had her heart tearing apart, and she knew that
she was being silly. How could she fall in love with a man that
quick?

Her mental thought process stopped as her
sexual fantasy of a man, sat down next to her with a cinnamon roll
on a white plate with gold trim.

“You will thank me for these cinnamon rolls.
They are heavenly. If it weren’t for working day and night at my
brother's bar, I’m sure I would not have worked off all the rolls
I’ve ordered up to this room.”

All the rolls you have ordered up here for
all the other women you have enticed up here? Trying not to let her
good girl side take away all the naughty fun she was about to have.
However, the little white angel on her shoulder kept tapping, and
she was having second thoughts.

“What you don’t like? You have a weird look
on your face.”

With a wry smile, she felt her common sense
might burst through and ruin the incredible one-night stand this
man was offering. “No. I’m sorry. It tastes incredible. I guess I
was thinking…”
Quick what was I thinking other than you have had
many other women up here?
“That the calories I’ll have to burn
if I finish this. But… mm." She finished another bite while he
watched her and smiled. “This is really good.” She held up her
plate as she said it, and then set the cinnamon roll next to her
coffee on the table.

“Oh, don’t worry about the calories. I can
think of a few ways we could burn it off.” His sexy answer came
with a grin of anticipated satisfaction.

She was sure he could. She reached for her
coffee to drink down the taste of the sinful tasting cinnamon
rolls. She took a few sips then felt it. That quickening sensation
in her stomach as his hand reached up and played with a red curl of
hair that loosened from her up swept hairstyle. He was stroking her
neck as he played with the curl. Her stomach was tightening, and
she turned just enough to take her eyes off the fire and look right
straight into his eyes. They were a deep bright blue, but the iris
of his eyes seemed large at the moment. His eyes held an honest
appeal to them, as if, he was an open book. He had two laugh lines
around each eye, and she guessed him to be in his mid-thirties.
Which caused her good girl to question her ability to jump into the
sack with a man whom she did not even know his age.

“John…” She whispered out his name in one
long slow soft breath.

“Yeah. By the way, I love the color of your
hair. Is it natural?” His focus on her hair and the way his fingers
slowly reached out and stroked her hair caused a reaction from her
body.

“The red? I was born a redhead. However, I
add color. Listen…” She wanted to ask him a question. She wanted to
focus on asking him a question, but his touch was so intensely
erotic to her that it seemed impossible.

“Your eyes. They are so soft and bright right
now. Almost jewel like.” He let his hand rub down to her shoulder
and back up her neck. Her skin was so smooth, and he loved the
little freckles that tickled her skin here and there.

“How old are you?” She finally got the
question out, and it sounded almost like she was stopping him, even
though she really did not care about his age, just that he kept
doing what he was doing to her as he touched her.

“Huh.” His hand dropped, and he reached for
his coffee. He took a sip and set the cup back on the table.
“Thirty five. Why? Do I seem too old for you? How old are you?”

She wanted his hand back on her neck and
shoulder, rubbing. She missed his touch as if she missed the air.
“Twenty-eight and no I don’t think you’re too old. I just feel like
I need to know a few facts. That is. So I don’t feel like a
complete stranger.”

He smiled, set his coffee down, and sat back
with his hands behind his head in a relaxed fashion. “I’m an open
book. Ask away and I shall answer. Stop me when I’m going too far
and or if you might be uncomfortable. And please feel free to tell
me all about yourself.” Although, the last thing on his mind was
getting to know her in the mental sense, that could come later. He
wanted to touch her in places he knew would drive her wild. For
now, he would hold his hands behind his head and let her talk away.
After their kiss that afternoon, he could think of nothing other
than one Callie O’Conner and how he wanted to touch every inch of
her body. There was something primal about her that made him want
nothing else.

Looking at the clock as it was about to
approach three a.m. Callie realized she did not want to waste too
much more time. She would need to get at least a few hours of sleep
before work. She crawled onto his lap and straddled his legs, with
her dress hitting bare coverage to the red thong she was wearing.
Her bravado had stepped up a notch, and she felt a tiger unleash
within.

It took only seconds for his hands behind his
head to release the death grip they had been holding to keep from
touching her everywhere. She obviously was not interested in facts,
cinnamon rolls and coffee. She was back to where they were before;
the way they were kissing at the bar earlier that day, mentally
contemplating that table next to them as a second choice to a
bed.

Chapter Six

At some point, which was only minutes, he had
her standing with her back to him and her facing the fading evening
lights of the city in front of the floor to ceiling hotel
reflective glass windows.

With each kiss of his mouth against her neck
and ear, her body filled with anticipation. She felt her zipper at
the back of her dress begin to slowly slide down. Then his hands
gentle rubbed up her back, over her shoulders and slid the dress
down to the floor. She could see her reflection just enough in the
window. Her naked stance showed her in only a thong, and she still
had on her four-inch heels. She felt alive and sexy, and he made
her feel that way.

His hands were gentle yet firm as they
reached around to tease her nipples between his fingers. His breath
upon her neck and the feel of his clothes behind her left her
craving for his skin. “No fair.” She cried out in a whisper.

He let out a moan as he pulled his hands away
and swiftly pulled his turtleneck off over his head. She watched
him undress in the reflection of the glass. He was lean and
muscular. She wanted to turn and help him with his pants, but he
was too quick. Just as she turned to touch his skin, she saw the
size of him and almost groaned in ecstasy. He was large, and it had
been a long time. She could almost feel the expectant stretch he
would put her through and the thought ‘hurt so good’ popped into
her head.

She started to let her hands wander over his
tanned skin as her lips tingled from his moist kisses. As her hands
reached to his shoulders to pull him closer she felt his throbbing
cock nudge her as a friendly reminder he was not going anywhere.
Every inch of her skin tingled with a sensation that sizzled. His
touch was so erotic. His eyes so intense and she felt an incredible
rush of passion take over her senses.

The sensations of his cock rubbing by her
belly as they kissed made him want to drop her on the couch and
enter her quickly. He was aware his size was a matter to be taken
seriously. He had always made it a habit of pleasuring the woman
until she was so hot and wet; she was begging for his cock. He felt
her slowly drop her kisses down his chest and watched her drop upon
her knees. Her hand firmly placed around his cock and her mouth
covering him left him with the most seductive image. He had never
had a redhead before, and she was erotic looking. Her eyes focused
on his as he watched her mouth cover and uncover his cock. Then her
tongue ran over the head of his cock, and he knew it had been too
long since his last.
