Scarlett got up and walked over. Greg admired her sexy legs in her mini dress. The dress hugged her body and Greg loved the way it fit her.

Scarlett sat down on the bed with her back facing him. She felt his hand gently massaging around her neck. It was very soothing. She slowly exhaled as the relaxing massage and the tranquil feeling from the wine put her at peace.

Greg kissed around her neck and she turned to face him. They began to kiss; their tongues slowly danced back and forth with each other. Scarlett couldn’t believe how Greg could make her feel so good inside.

She stood up and removed her dress, watching Greg enjoy how sensual she was being. He smiled and tapped her lightly on the ass. The way her ass jiggled in her G-string was definitely a turn on for him.

“Hey Sweetheart, bend over on the bed. I wanna taste it from the back.”

Scarlett kneeled over on the bed and got on all fours. Greg widened her legs from the back and began to tongue tease her pussy. She felt the intense rush from him licking her clit and back down to her inviting hole. Before she knew it, he had her butt cheeks spread open and he stuck his tongue in her asshole. It was electrifying and very kinky. She softly moaned with pleasure and caressed her breasts as he continued going from her clit to her asshole. What an amazing rush he was giving her.

Greg could feel her knees buckle, and he didn’t want her to cum yet, so he rose up and entered her. In and out, he went inside her pussy. Her wet walls gripped his dick tightly and he pumped furiously, listening to the sweet sounds of her moans. He reached around her waist and began to play with her clit as he continued to stroke her from the back. Her clit was getting fatter on his fingertip and he knew exactly what was about to happen.

Scarlett gripped the pillow and bit into it, trying to muffle her sounds as her body shuddered from an amazing orgasm. The sound of Greg’s groan informed her that he’d cum too. He smacked her on the ass again and kissed the lower part of her back.

“Damn, sweetheart, you got some good pussy!” He cuddled up beside her and wrapped his arms around her waist. She smiled. “What are you thinking about?” he asked.

“I would have never thought we’d be together like this.”

“I can’t lie. For some reason or another, I’ve always wanted to be with you. You were someone that I always looked at as being lost, but was only lost because you didn’t have a direction of where to go. In my mind, I wanted to show you the way, but before I could take credit for that, you somehow found it and I’m very proud of you for that.”

Scarlett smiled. No one had ever told her they were proud of her except Nina, and because she was her best friend, that didn’t count.

“It feels good to be with you. I can’t lie. I’ve never been treated with more respect than what you’ve shown me. I’ve had men dis me after having sex or just stick around because I give them good sex. They’ve never wanted to be seen in public with me, or introduce me to their parents. I don’t matter to them. I’m just a good fuck and that’s it. I’m sorry for being so blunt, but it’s the truth.”

“Sweetheart, I know how you feel. I’ve been one of those men back in my day, and I have felt bad about it over the years. I used to talk to this one chick that had the potential to be so much more than she was, but she couldn’t find her way, and I used her for what I could get out of her. Honestly, it was only sex, because I wasn’t into anything else.” Scarlett felt bad about what he was saying because it explained how her life was. “This girl was crazy about me, but I didn’t want anything to do with her if it wasn’t behind closed doors. I even called Mike over one day and we ran a train on her. I didn’t want her to get attached or feel like I really liked her or something.” Greg sighed. “I was young and stupid, and didn’t care about her feelings, and one day she committed suicide.” Scarlett took in a deep breath. “I felt bad when I heard about it. I blamed myself for a long time because I could’ve helped her, but I chose to look the other way and use her like everybody else did.”

“Wow, she committed suicide? I can’t believe it.”

“Yeah, and I didn’t see it coming. She left a suicide letter explaining that there was no one in the world that truly cared about her. You see, her parents died in a car wreck when she was like five, I believe. Her aunt raised her and was very abusive. So, she never really knew what it was like to be loved.” Greg sighed again. “She was only nineteen when she died. What a tragedy.”

Scarlett laid there in shock. She felt bad for the woman. She was glad that she got herself together because she would never want to commit suicide. She had suicidal thoughts when she was younger, but never actually wanted to act on them.

She looked at Greg. “Is that why you’re here?”

“Honestly, I saw potential in you. I can’t lie about that, but I wanted to show you that there is so much more to life than what you might think. I know how your mother treats you, because my daughter is a talker and she tells any and everything.”

“Yeah, I already know,” Scarlett retorted.

“But, I knew that if you could overcome that then you could overcome anything. Don’t let your past predict what your future will be. It doesn’t always have to turn out bad.” He hugged her around the waist. “I’m here because I want to be here, not because of anything else,” he assured her.

Scarlett felt good to know that Greg really did like her. She wanted to show him just how much she liked him, so she turned over and started kissing him. She was about to give him the ride of his life.

“Hold tight and make sure you have your seatbelt fastened,” she whispered.

Chapter Fourteen

The week had passed, and Friday was upon Scarlett before she knew it. Things were still good between her and Greg. He had surprised her with a brand new four hundred dollar Gucci purse that was delivered to the shop earlier that day. Sheila was speechless and wanted to know who sent it, but Scarlett wasn’t telling. The funny thing was that Jay was in the office smiling in Sheila’s face, trying to make her jealous, when she was handed the purse by the delivery guy. Jay’s face was burning with envy because he knew that Scarlett didn’t need him to make her happy now. She had somebody else in her life, and he was doing a damn good job of pleasing her. Scarlett was thrilled to leave work with Sheila and Jay wondering who her mystery lover was.

She walked inside her house and spoke to Anton and Samantha as she rushed to use the bathroom. Anton laughed aloud because this was always her daily routine. She sat on the commode and thought about Luke. He was supposed to be taking her out that evening, but she hadn’t heard from him since he called to make those plans. She didn’t want to call him and seem like she was desperate for a date, but in actuality she was excited about a guy taking her out on the town. She thought about dialing his number just to see if he was still planning on going, but decided against it.

She flushed the commode, walked over to her sink and washed her hands. She looked in the mirror and smiled. She’d begun to notice the nice looking side of her, and she didn’t want it to fade away. She loved the attention she got from men, and the way women complimented her on her clothing and hairstyles. She wasn’t used to compliments, and wanted to keep them coming.

She knew that keeping Greg on her team was the key, because not only did he care for her, but he also kept her paid. She thought about the blast she had with him the night before and the money he gave her before he left their room. She walked in her room and sat on the edge of her bed, reaching into her purse. She pulled out the two hundred dollar bills that he gave her. She was going to use that to get her hair, nails, and toes done the next morning. Plus, if she needed more, she had the debit card.

She stretched out over the bed and looked up at the ceiling.

“Should I call him?” she asked herself. She sighed. “Maybe I’ll get dressed anyway, and if he comes, great. If he doesn’t, then Nina and I will go somewhere.”

She got off the bed and walked over to her dresser. She pulled out a drawer and grabbed a fitted peach Aeropostale shirt with navy cursive writing on it and a pair of Levi jeans. She figured she would dress casual for the occasion, but still look decent and cute. She pulled her hair up and let it drape from the peach hair claw that pinned it. Her bang swooped over her right eye a little. She adored that look. She put on her peach Old Navy flip-flops and admired her style in the full-length mirror.

Damn, I must say that I look good.
It was almost seven o’clock and she still hadn’t heard from Luke, so she picked up her phone to call Nina as a backup.

“Hey, girl. What you doing?”

“Sitting my ass here, bored as hell. The children gone with their daddy, and I supposed to be having company in about an hour. Why, what’s up?” Nina asked.

“Oh nothing,” she said. She didn’t want Nina to break her plans just because hers may not happen.

“What’s wrong?” Nina asked.

“Nothing,” she responded.

“Red, you know I know you, so don’t play. Just tell me what’s on your mind?”

“Well, I’m supposed to be going on a date with Luke, but he hasn’t called and I haven’t spoken to him since he called and asked me out earlier this week.”

“What the hell are you waiting for? Shit, call him! If his ass doesn’t answer, then chalk it up and keep it moving.” Scarlett was quiet. “Have you looked in the mirror, lately? These niggas gonna be beating your door down the sooner you get outta your house and they can see you more.”

“I guess you’re right.”

“Damn right I’m right. I’m always right,” Nina giggled. “Just call him.”

“Okay, I will.”

“And if he doesn’t answer, then call me right back and I’ll cancel my plans and we’ll go hit a bar or something.”

“Alright,” Scarlett responded. But, she already knew she wasn’t calling back because she didn’t want Nina to cancel anything because of her. They ended the call, and before Scarlett could dial Luke’s number, her phone rang. It was him.

“Hello,” she answered.

“Hey lil lady, are you ready?” he asked.

“Well, hey stranger. Yeah, I’m ready.”

“Did you doubt me?”

“Not for one moment,” she lied.

“I’m glad you didn’t. I’ve just been busy this week, but I honestly had you on my mind.”

“You could have called, you know.”

“I know, but I was hoping you would’ve called me.”

“Oh yeah?” she responded.

“Yeah… I’m glad you kept the faith in me, though.”

Scarlett grinned because she had lost faith in him right before he called.

“Well, where do you live? I’m leaving my crib now.”

Scarlett smiled, but still didn’t want to get her hopes up too high until he actually pulled up in her driveway.

“Where are you coming from?”

“I live in Land View Estates off of Washington road.”

Land View Estates, huh?
“Yeah, I know where that is.”
People with cheese stay over in that area,
she thought.
“Okay, so I live a ways from you. Le’me ask you something… Where are you taking me?”

“I told you that I’m taking you to the movies. We can go to Regal Cinema off of Wheeler road.”

“Okay, so if you want, I can just meet you there, because I live on Tobacco road and that’s gonna be out of your way.”

“I’m not a stalker, if that’s what you think.”

Scarlett laughed at his comment. “I didn’t think you were a stalker. I just don’t want us to be late for the movie. Plus, you’ll have to bring me all the way back home and then drive back on your side of town.”

“Listen, Red… I don’t care about that. I said I was gonna take you out and I’m a man of my word. So, tell me where you live because I’m already coming down Bobby Jones now. Would it be best for me to get off on the Deans Bridge exit passing Wal-Mart and get on Tobacco Road that way or should I get off on the Windsor Spring road exit instead?”

Scarlett loved how Luke took control of everything. He was younger than she was, but acted much older.

“It’s best if you take Windsor Spring’s exit and come all the way down to Tobacco road. Make a left at the light and a left into Sunset Manor. My house is the third one on the left. You’ll see my red Cavalier in the yard.”

“I know exactly where that is. It’s a nice neighborhood.

Not nearly as nice as yours
.

“I have a homeboy who lives over there. He lives on a different street, though.”

“Oh okay,” she responded. “This is a big neighborhood.”

“Yeah it is. Do you live alone?”

“No, my lil brother lives with me. I’m the bill payer here, though,” she joked.

“I can help you with that,” he responded.

“On your Pizza Hut budget, huh…” she teased.

“Yes, on my Pizza Hut budget,” he responded. “Don’t let the cover fool you. I done told you that already,” he laughed.

“I know, and I was just playing with you.”

“I know you were. I can tell you are quite comical. I’m gonna like that about you,” he said.

“You act as if you’re gonna stick around for a little while.”

“I would like to. Hey, my mom is calling. I will hit you back when I’m pulling up in your driveway.”

“Okay, sounds good. See you then.”

Scarlett walked into the living room. Anton and Samantha were still sitting on the couch together, watching
I am Legend
.

“This is very good movie,” Scarlett said. She sat down on the loveseat across from them.

“I see,” Anton responded. “I didn’t think it was going to be that good, but I can’t stop watching it.”

“Me, either,” Samantha agreed. Anton looked over at his sister.

“Where are you going looking all cute and shit?”

Scarlett blushed.

“She is looking cute, isn’t she?” Samantha chimed in.

“Thanks guys,” she said. “Your sister is actually going out on a date.”

“You’re going out on a date. With who?” Anton asked.

“A dude I met earlier this week named Luke.”

“Well, you look good, Scarlett, and I hope you have lots of fun tonight. You deserve it,” Samantha commented.

“Aww, thanks, Sam. You’re too sweet.” Scarlett’s phone rang.
