It doesn’t take me but twenty minutes, and I’ve got
myself two suitcases stuffed full of my clothes, important papers, cash, a few mementos
and other basic necessities, like my toothbrush and shampoo.

Worried that my sneak out might have alerted the
brothers, I’m too scared to stay a moment longer. So I grab my computer in its
case, my two large suitcases, my leather jacket and I skedaddle. I lock the
door as I leave and shove the key under the welcome mat just in case.

The young cabby, helps shut my luggage into the trunk
as I slide into the back seat and I am finally ready to go.

“Where to?” the man asks, getting behind the wheel.

Grabbing hold of the cash I have left over from Big’s
office I count it. Two hundred and ten bucks.

“How far can a hundred and fifty bucks take me?”

The driver appreciatively glances at me in the
rearview mirror, paying a little extra attention to my breasts. “For you,
hummm…” He pauses, tapping his chin with his pointer finger. I grin. “I’ll take
you any place within a three hour radius for a hundred. Pretty girl discount.”
He winks, and I blush with a shy smile.

“Well, what do you suggest? What’s three hours from
here and has public transportation?” I need one of those, since I’m not going
to have my flashy hog or grocery getter to get me anywhere. They are way too
colorful to bring along. I know if I leave them, they will be properly taken
care of. And that doesn’t mean I can’t get myself a sleek, understated Harley
eventually. I am sure going to miss Black Betty though; we had some kick ass
times together.

“Chicago or Milwaukee, your choice.”

That’s a no brainer. “Chicago, please.”

“Alright, then, Chicago it is,” the driver decisively
states with a friendly grin in the rearview mirror. I smile right back and slink
down into the back seat to get comfortable for the long ride ahead.

It’s time to move on, to my different, bittersweet
life in a new city. I will contact my family once I arrive, and then it’s time
to find a new job and a furnished apartment. I just pray I am not making the
biggest mistake of my life.

I’ll see ya next time. Wish me luck.

Peace.

Readers,

I know this is kind of a crazy ending
to this crazy story. But I promise this isn’t the actual end. This is when my
life changed drastically and found it a good stopping point for this part of my
story. As you can imagine, reliving this as I write it has been quite an
emotional roller coaster for me. But I am relieved to be able to finally put my
life on paper. It’s sort of cathartic.

Yes, Big and I have always had this
strange relationship. I’ve known it forever, but this part was when my life was
flipped upside down. Sure, you might think that I am nuts for having left
without answers or even sleeping with him after Niki had. But that’s just the
way it happened. Sometimes you stand back and think about those times in your
life with hindsight and maybe you might have done things differently. There are
some I probably would have. As it turns out, everything happens for a reason.

You’ll have to read the next part of
the story to find out what those reasons are. And trust me, you think this part
of my story is fucked up? No, it gets worse, way, way, way, worse, before it
gets any better.

Thank you, all you kick ass readers
for reliving my life through words. I hope you enjoyed the wild ride.

Much Love.

Peace,
Bink
