Simon’s room was decorated in gold, black and white, modern and minimalist like the Roche-Marshall building. The windows were open allowing the sound of the sea to enter with the briny smell I remembered from the dorm at Saint Sebastian, just a tractor ride down the coast.
Heathcliff peeled the golden gown from my body and lowered my knickers over my heels. I was naked again. Not because that was the rules for the girls who came to Black Spires but because that’s what I wanted. I lay back on the white silk sheets.
‘I hope you’re not going to give up being an intern,’ Simon said.
‘Will you trust me with the secret codes?’
‘Of course. Girls should always be tempted,’ he replied as he pulled his leather belt from his trousers.
