Pressing one finger into Elian’s hole, Corbin sucked on his prick harder as he pressed his finger in and out, faster and faster, before pressing the second one in. Elian’s cry of more and harder fueled the passion in Corbin’s blood, and he did as his husband asked. Pulling his fingers from Elian’s anus, he stuck three of his fingers into his mouth and sucked and licked them before pressing them to Elian’s mouth. He looked up at Elian’s eyes, which had grown dark brown from passion, and watched as he sucked and licked Corbin's fingers, making them slick even as he moaned and thrust his hips up towards Corbin’s face, pushing his dick further into Corbin’s mouth.

Corbin gagged only slightly before pressing Elian’s hips down with his left hand and pulling the fingers of his other hand free and pressing all three into Elian’s guardian muscle. He twisted and spread his fingers inside Elian’s rectum, stretching his channel to prepare him for Corbin’s cock. Feeling Elian’s hands in his hair, pulling and yanking on the strands, he knew it was time.

Lifting his lips off Elian’s cock, Corbin yanked his pants down, only stopping to pull one leg out of them before he climbed onto the bed and in between Elian’s spread legs. Using his knees, he pushed Elian’s legs farther apart before grabbing a leg in each hand and lifting them up over each shoulder. He placed the head of his cock against Elian’s entrance and looked down at Elian He saw the passion that pulled Elian’s face into a mask of unanswered desire, his lips open as he panted and his eyes closed.

“Look at me, El. Now, Cora, open your eyes and look at me. Watch as I take you,” he commanded.

Elian’s eyes flew open, and as soon as they locked with his own, Corbin pressed into the tight, velvet heat of Elian’s chute. Twin moans sounded in the air as the muscles of Elian’s hole stretched to accept the flared head of Corbin’s shaft before closing around it. Corbin pressed forward, not stopping until he felt the curve of Elian’s ass flush against the hair of his groin. He panted as he stared down into Elian’s eyes. There was something about making love to his husbands while looking them in the eyes that always served to take the lovemaking to another level. Corbin could feel his spirit transcending their copulation to drift among the clouds.

With a low growl, Corbin pulled his hips back before slamming them forward. Elian yelped at the movement and Corbin slowly repeated his movement. The grip of Elian’s tight heat, the feeling of his body inside as every muscles squeezed Corbin’s dick, made him grit his teeth against his impending orgasm. He needed Elian to come first. Angling his hips slightly, Corbin thrust back into his husband’s body and heard Elian yell out. Got it, Corbin grinned as his cock pressed against Elian’s prostate. Being sure to hit the bundle of nerves with each slam of his prick into Elian’s anus, Corbin began to chase after his own orgasm.

His skin was sweaty, hot, and tight over his bones. He pulled his lips back in a snarl as he pounded his dick in and out of Elian’s channel, the panting, moans, and shouts of pleasure emanating from Elian’s mouth causing Corbin’s body to shake as he struggled to hold back his release.

Leaning forward, Corbin raised one hand from where it rested beside Elian’s head and pushed up the bottom of his tunic. He opened his mouth and captured the pebbled bud of one of Elian’s dark brown nipples to lick it. Smiling at the tremor that wracked Elian’s frame, Corbin sucked the nub into his mouth before biting it slightly, pulling his head backward, bringing the nipple with him, before opening his mouth and letting go. He licked back at the nipple to soothe it from his abuse before turning to Elian’s neglected nipple and giving it the same attention.

Elian’s pleas had grown louder and more desperate and Corbin licked at the crook of his neck before biting it hard—not hard enough to draw blood, but definitely hard enough to leave a bruise. The wet heat that splattered his chest and the eardrum splitting scream that rang in his ears let him know that Elian had found his release. Letting go of his barely restrained control, Corbin rammed his cock in and out of Elian as he chased his own orgasm before one, two, three thrusts later he toppled over the edge of passion right after his husband. He growled out Elian’s name before he collapsed at Elian's side, pulling him tightly to his chest, both of them still wearing their tunics. Corbin sat up and pulled both offending garments off, both of them soaked in sweat and cum, before he collapsed back onto his back and pulled Elian over to lay on top of him.

He listened as Elian’s breath evened out, and with a last kiss to Elian’s forehead, Corbin followed him into the darkness of sleep.

Chapter Nineteen

Elian

E
LIAN
once again woke up alone, sated, and with a sore ass. While he would have much preferred to have woken up in Corbin’s arms, waking up with a sore ass and a colorful memory of how he'd gotten it was almost as gratifying. He stretched his arms above his head and pushed himself up into a seated position. Dropping one hand down onto the sizable lump that was now his stomach, he rubbed at it with a smile of satisfaction. Once he'd gotten over the initial shock of being pregnant with triplets—and three girls at that—he’d begun to relish the thought of giving birth and being a father. His mind filled with images of playing with his daughters, singing together, playing in the garden, cooking together. Elian sighed at his inner musings and decided that in light of recent revelations, he couldn’t stay in bed, no matter how much he might long to. He needed to get out of bed and see what he could do to take care of things.

Swinging his legs off the side of the bed, he shoved the covers that Corbin had place over him away and padded over to the nearby armoire. Opening it, he pulled out a fresh pair of breeches and a blood red tunic and put them on. They both hung on him, letting him know they belonged to one of his husbands, no doubt Corbin as he was the smallest of the three, and he smiled. While he loved his own clothes, he enjoyed the thought that he was wearing something that belonged to one of his husbands more. Closing the armoire, Elian turned and with a delicate swish of his hips, went to stand before the room’s single full-length mirror. He placed one hand on his hip and the other into his hair. He fluttered his eyelashes and smiled seductively at his image before turning to the side and running his hands over his distended belly.

Elian laughed at the series of movements he felt within and soothed his daughters. “Okay, okay, Daddy is sorry he was being so silly. He was just checking himself out in the mirror,” he chuckled. He gasped and spun around at the answering, deep chuckle behind him.

“I think you looked gorgeous doing it,” Gaige’s voice sent shivers over Elian’s skin. He watched as Gaige slowly walked towards him, eyes taking in all aspects of Elian’s body. Elian felt his face flush hot at the appraising look in Gaige’s gaze and felt a bit like stripping off all of his clothes and spreading his legs open right there on the floor, begging for Gaige to take him.

His lascivious thoughts were cut off when Elian realized that Gaige was speaking.

“—so we’re going to stay here until the babies are born and then return to the palace. We’ll help you make the clothes for the babies, send out spies to try and figure out exactly what’s going on in our kingdom, and get to know each other better,” Gaige finished, and Elian smiled. His husbands wanted to get to know him? How could he ask for anything better than that? Oh wait, he could wish not to be hunted down by someone intent on killing him and his unborn children, but that seemed to be an inevitability.

At least this was something unexpected.

“You are not to leave the manor for any reason,” Gaige interrupted his thoughts and Elian stared at him in shock. “And when we return to the palace, it will be the same thing until we find out exactly who is behind the attempts on your life.”

Elian narrowed his eyes at Gaige and crossed his arms. All of his thoughts about keeping his mouth shut and being the perfect coração went sailing out the window in that moment. He wasn’t a prisoner. He’d done nothing wrong. He was also not a child to be coddled and wrapped in cotton to be protected. He might be a coração, smaller than his husbands, and pregnant, but he was no one’s invalid. “I don’t need to be locked up for my protection,” he said through gritted teeth.

“No one’s locking you up, per se,” Gaige scoffed, waving away Elian’s words. “We’re simply keeping you safe by keeping you in the house where no one outside can get to you.”

Elian rolled his eyes and let out a snort of disbelief. “Did you forget that they broke into the house the first time and then onto palace grounds the second time? What makes you think that a manor out in the middle of nowhere is more protection than a palace surrounded by guards?”

Gaige’s mouth opened and closed it, doing a pretty good imitation of a fish. Elian wanted to laugh, but he knew that he had to remain steadfast in his annoyance at his husbands’ highhandedness. He watched as Gaige’s eyes moved rapidly over the room as if the answer lay on the wall or in the corner. His lips formed words and he grimaced time and time again as he shook his head. Elian could only suspect he was tossing out reasons and excuses. His brow eased and his eyes brightened as he finally looked Elian square in the eyes.

“You will do this because your king demands it,” Gaige stated firmly with a nod.

Elian smiled, “But aren’t I a king, as well? So can’t I just veto his word?”

Gaige laughed and shook his head, “You’re not a king; you’re just the coração.”

Elian stared at him as fury coursed through his veins. With barely a thought, he watched as Gaige crumpled to the ground, clutching his groin as if Elian had actually delivered that well-aimed kick there. Elian barely spared him a glance as he stepped over him and marched down the hallway towards a room at the end where he could hear Nevin and Corbin’s voices strategizing. He squared his shoulders and blocked his ears to the sound of distress coming from Gaige’s lips. He was too angry right now and if he allowed himself the chance to think about it, he would end up running back to Gaige to apologize, instead of standing up for himself.

He opened the door without knocking and strode into the room. He noticed the appreciative glances being thrown his way by the members of the staff he hadn’t yet met and heard Nevin growl in their direction before he turned to look back at Elian. Elian gave a growl of his own when Nevin raised one black brow as if Elian’s presence was an inconvenient. He marched over to the table where they were all gathered and sat down in a chair.

“So what are we thinking? Where are they going to strike next?” he asked, ignoring their surprised glances.

“Um, El? Cora? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be sewing or painting or something? We’re trying to discuss military strategy here,” Nevin pointed out. Elian turned to glare at him, wondering what part of Nevin’s body he wanted to injure.

“Or sleeping? You are carrying three babies. I think you should really be resting or sleeping right now,” Corbin suggested, and Elian turned his glare in his direction.

“I’m a coração, I’m not stupid. I’m capable of taking care of myself. Talking is not going to harm the babies. I can contribute, I’m smart. I will not allow you to treat me as a breeding machine,” he growled angrily, rising slowly from his chair. “I’m not someone you can push around. I want to know what’s going on and I want to know what I can do to help.” When no one moved, all of them staring at him in awe, Elian felt his control snap. “NOW!”

He wanted to smile in satisfaction when everyone jumped in surprise and rushed to gather all of the information and place it in front of him. He didn’t usually assert himself that way—okay, he never asserted himself in this manner—but it was just as Corbin said: he was carrying three babies; he wanted to make sure that they were born into a world that was safe and would accept them. He had to have a hand in it, otherwise he didn’t deserve to father them. Why couldn’t his husbands see that? Giving birth to them just wasn’t enough. He had to help. He wished he could explain it to them and knew that at some point he would, but emotions were high just then, his especially, and he didn’t want to break down into tears while trying to explain something so important. He’d just have to hope that a time would come when he could explain everything he was feeling to them.

“Thank you,” he said diplomatically as the last document was placed in front of him. “So, what’s our plan of action?” he asked when he realized everyone was staring at him. It took a moment, but before long, Nevin and Corbin were outlining where they thought the traitors would attack next. His husbands assumed that the ones responsible were members of the priesthood, or even the small group of Kardalusians who had made it no secret that they did not approve of the way the kingdom was being run. Elian nodded even as something niggled at the back of his mind. He knew that his husbands knew a lot about military strategy and perhaps they were right in this instance, but Elian couldn’t help feeling as if they were missing something. Something important and vital.

He blocked out the rumblings of his husbands’ voices even as Gaige stormed into the room, railing at him, and focused on the map in front of him. Tracing a line with his finger at the different sites where an attack had taken place, Elian nibbled on his lower lip. He noticed that the attacks seemed to make a sign or a symbol of some sort and his mind began to swirl with what it could possibly mean.

“Someone get me a book with the ancient rituals in it,” he said loudly, abruptly cutting off his husbands’ ranting.

“Why do you need the book, Elian? Did you find something, Cora?” Nevin asked him.  Elian nodded his head and accepted the book that was set before him by Alain. Elian should have realized that Alain would know exactly where the book would be. He shrugged off the thought and traced his finger on the map again.

“I need a piece of vellum paper and a quill pen,” he said as he opened The Book of Ancient Kardalusian Rituals and Ceremonies to the first page. Quickly skimming his eyes over the page before him while someone hastened to get him the items he needed, Elian read something completely unexpected.
