They continued to eat until most of the stew was gone and only crumbs were left of the bhakta bread. Zeb picked up the bowls and moved to the sink to wash them. Avery moved to jump down from her seat but was quickly halted by Yasa.

“No, no, no. You are to sit there and relax. No mother of my grandchild will lift a finger.” She wagged her finger at Avery.

“Oh, but please let me help. I can help wash dishes.” Avery protested.

Zeb didn’t turn around but said, “You had better listen to my mother. You definitely don’t want her to put you to bed for the rest of your pregnancy.”

Avery slid all the way back onto the chair and didn’t say another word. She watched as both mother and son work in unison to clean up the mess in the kitchen. It wasn’t long before they were finished and Yasa was ushering them off to bed.

“You need to take Avery to bed. A reproducing woman needs plenty of rest. I will see you in the morning.” As he bent down to kiss his mother goodnight, she kissed Zeb lightly on the cheek. She turned to Avery, “Goodnight, daughter, I am so happy to have you as part of our family. I can tell that you make my son very happy.” She placed a kiss on Avery’s cheek then walked down the hall and out of sight.

“Your mother is so sweet. I can’t believe that you used to tease and play jokes on her. You must have been a very mischievous boy.”

“My mother used to always laugh at my stunts. Her and my father would take bets on who would be the next victim. It was all in good fun as long as no one got hurt. But as for being mischievous,” Zeb snatched her up in his arms before she realized what he was doing, “I am about to show you mischievous.” Avery giggled in his arms as he walked down the hall a few steps then headed up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was only one door and he pushed it open with his foot.

He walked into their room and over to the bed. He unceremoniously dumped her on the bed. She squealed and tried to crawl to the other side of the huge four poster bed, playing with him. A hand grabbed her ankle and pulled her back to him.

“Oh, no you don’t. I told you we would finish what we started downstairs later.  It is later and it was been way too long since I last had you.  You better get ready because I plan on having my way with you all night long.” He had pulled her back to the edge of the bed and placed a knee between her legs.

He had started to undo his uniform shirt when she asked, “What do you plan on doing to me?” Her heart was beating with anticipation now. She couldn’t wait to be to feel his bare skin against hers. He was right, it had been too long. They were both ravenous for each other now and that hunger needed to be satisfied.

Zeb gave her a mischievous smile as he leaned over her, “Oh, little one, what do I plan on doing to you? Umm…Everything.” With that he took her mouth in his. She was his forever. She had never thought that she would find someone who could love her as much as he did.

She knew would miss her aunts back on Earth. Maybe one day, as Zeb promised, they would be able to return for a visit. Her life was so full now with him and with the baby on its way. Back on Earth she thought she had everything she ever needed but never realized how much she was really missing. She swiftly realized that her true destiny awaits her on Theron.
