He bit down on her clit as he fucked her with his tongue. Her cream was flooding his mouth now, and he wasn’t sure if he could keep up with her. When she cried out, tightening her thighs around his head, he fucked her harder with his fingers until she came again. Vinnie wasn’t sure who was enjoying this more, her or him. When she dropped her legs from his shoulders, he made his way up her body, kissing and biting her everywhere he could touch her. She reached for him as soon as he was near her mouth. The kiss nearly took his breath away.

“You taste delicious. Is that me?” He nodded when she asked him, and he took his cock into his hand. Her entrance was wet and seemed to suck him in. She moaned when he moved his thick crown over her clit. “I’m going to come again.”

She cried out when he entered her. He’d only meant to breach her entrance, but she moved and he plowed deeper than he’d meant. He knew that he’d hurt her the moment she dug her nails into his back. He held himself still while she sobbed.

“I’m sorry, baby. I never meant to take you so fast.” He kissed her neck, feeling her pulse as it pounded beneath his tongue. “Let me go, honey, and I’ll move off you. I should have listened to you and—” Her hips rolled upward, and he nearly swallowed his tongue. “Don’t move.”

“I have to. You’re not in the right place.” He groaned when she rolled her hips again and rocked upward at the same time. “You’re so thick inside of me.”

“I’m about to get thicker if you don’t be still.” Her giggle had him lifting his head to look down at her. “Are you hurting?”

“No. I did at first. It took my breath away from the pain, but….” Her body moved again, and Vinnie moved deeper. “Vicente, please, I know that you’re close, but I’m…please do something.”

He rolled to his back, afraid if he stayed where he was he’d plow her hard. When she was settled over him, her thighs on either side of his hips, he wasn’t sure this was going to be any better. Then she leaned down and bit his nipple. Vinnie held her to him as she suckled at him.

“You keep that up and I’m not going to be a gentleman for much longer.” She sat up and put her hands on his chest. He could see the devilment in her eyes and should have been more leery than he was. Abbie began to ride him in long, sure strokes that had him gripping her hips to hang onto something. The stronger her body moved over his, the more he wanted from her. And when she threw back her head and her long hair moved over his balls, Vinnie came, crying out her name.

He emptied himself in her as she continued to ride him. When she lifted her breasts up and toyed with her nipples, he sat up and took her offering into his mouth. Rolling her to her back, he felt her ankles wrap around his thighs as he moved in and out of her. The need to bite her overwhelming him, he leaned down and took her breast into his mouth and sank his teeth into her creamy flesh.

Nothing could have prepared him for the feeling of her blood filling his mouth. She screamed out his name as her body tightened around him so much so that he felt his cock strangle deep inside of her. When her nail ran down his back, Vinnie felt his dragon pull from his body enough that he knew he was going to shift. He felt hers do the same. In seconds they were going to be full dragons if he didn’t do something first.

“Calm her.” Abbie cried out when his fingers touched her dragon on her back. “Abbie, love, you have to calm her. I can’t control mine if you don’t. He wants her.”

“Let him have her. I can’t—”

She screamed again, and Vinnie did the only thing he could do and grabbed her up and took her to the window. Crashing through it, he was shifting to his dragon as she tore from his body and shifted too. As soon as he was fully his dragon, he went after her. She was flying too high for the first time.

“Auggie, you have to go to her. Yve, go with him.” Vinnie saw them both streak by him as Abbie soared even higher. When she seemed to even out, he waited for her to drop. His dragon moved to be beneath her to catch her if she did.

She looked so beautiful, and he had a hard time not just watching her move through the air like she was born to it. He moved up closer to her, but was ready for her to fall if need be. When she turned to look at him, he saw that Auggie had shifted as well, and the older faerie looked like he was out of his mind with terror.

“He’s a fool.” Yve moved to his wing and then to his chest. In seconds he felt her enter his dragon just under the scale at his heart. She would remain there until he shifted back.
I’m going to have a talk with him, but I do not think her dragon will keep him. We must do something to help him save face. He will be shamed if we do not.

He’ll either work it out with her or her dragon will reject him. But I don’t think that will happen. He’s just…he’s never done this before. But if we do need to do something, we’ll tell people that she needs two so that she can have one to watch over her until she’s ready to fly without me.

It is good, my lord.
He moved alongside of Abbie, marveling at how well she was doing. When she looked at him, he could see that she was enjoying herself as well.

Did I hurt you?
He told her no.
I didn’t know what to do. She just screamed at me to be let go. You’ll have to…I’m flying.

You are. And doing a fine job of it too. Sometime soon I’m going to have to make love to you like this. I’ve heard it’s the most wonderful way to have sex in the world.
He could feel the dragon’s arousal and wanted to take her now. But she was moving slower now, and he knew she was tired. He moved so that she’d turn toward their home, and they landed on the ground with a great thud
. To shift back, just think of being human. Your dragon will know what to do.

It took her a few minutes to do it. Finally, Yve had to leave him to go to her. She nodded once when she landed near her ear, and Abbie shifted.

Auggie had started off to the woods when Abbie called him back. He had to come to her. As her faerie he had no choice, but Vinnie could see how upset he was.

“I’ve failed you, I have.” She shook her head. “Never thought of being your dragon faerie and what it would mean to me. I’m an old man, and it’s just a job for one a great deal younger than me. I’ll be moving off if you’ll see your way to letting me.”

“No, I don’t think so. You’ll be my faerie and we’ll both learn this job together.” When Auggie started to speak, she cut him off. “I guess I’m kind of your boss, right?”

“Yes, my lady, you’re the boss of all of us. But you don’t understand what I did when I had no idea what to do. I could have gotten you harmed, or worse, your wings hurt. They, like mine, take a great deal to heal. I should be your beating heart, and I didn’t do it.”

“I don’t know what that means.” Auggie looked at Vinnie and then back at his mistress. “You can tell me or not, but you’re not leaving me.”

“I’m supposed to guide your dragon’s thoughts with happiness and joy. When you shift to her, I’m to move to the place where your heart beats and keep it safe from anything that might get to it. It’s the only thing that can kill you. I’m to protect it, and I failed you.” Auggie hung his head low. “I’ve failed you in my first duty. To protect you above all else.”

“This time you might have, but there was no harm done. To either of us. And we’re learning this together. Me most of all.” Abbie put out her hand and asked him to come to her. “Did you know that’s what you were to do when I went tearing out of the house?”

“No, my lady. I was…you scared this old man, if you want the truth of it. Never knew a person could shift and take off like that before. You’re the first dragon I’ve seen in a long while, other than his lordship.” She asked him how old he was. “Near as old as the master. He’s a tad older, but we be about the right age.”

“How old are you, Vicente?” Vinnie watched as Yve and Auggie took off toward the house. He knew that the window would be repaired before they got there, and no one would know it had been broken out by a couple of mating dragons. “Vicente? I asked you a question. Will you answer me?”

“I’ve aged really well.” She crossed her arms over her chest, and he wanted to pull her body to his. He wondered if she realized she was as naked as he was. “I’m nearly ten thousand years old. Nine thousand nine hundred and fifty-three to be exact. Auggie is fifty-one years younger, but Yve is only four thousand two hundred and two.”

“Christ.” When she fainted, he grabbed her. Lifting her into his arms, he took her into the house. Doul was there with a large blanket to cover her, and he took her to the room down the hall from theirs. The faeries were still working in their room. It was going to be a long time, he thought, before he got her back in his bed.

Chapter 7

Woodrow could smell the rotting flesh even before they opened the door to the cabin. Leonard moved back, and he was sure they were just going to call it a day and leave the rest there as well, if any of them were still alive. They had eleven women in the basement of this place, and he’d bet all the money he had stashed away that not one of them was alive.

“We didn’t come back to check on them before we left.” They’d been in such a hurry to get the hell out of there when they heard the choppers that it was a few days before they remembered they’d not left the women anything to eat. Neither of them, not even Nolan, had suggested they come back up to do it. “I guess we’ll be digging fucking graves rather than having some fun like I’d thought.”

Woodrow pulled his shirt up over his mouth and nose when they entered. It didn’t help much, but they moved in anyway. They could leave, he supposed, but he, for one, needed to make sure they hadn’t left anything behind. This place could not be found right now…not with Abbie on the loose.

It took them ten minutes to do a head count. Nine of the women were dead, and the other two were very close. Leonard made a joke about how they could get some fresh ones now that they had the room, but Woodrow didn’t laugh. This was the most disgusting thing he’d ever done. And he nearly gagged when they moved one of the dead onto her sheet, only to have her hand touch his arm. He’d had to drop his weight and move out of the building for fresh air. Leonard followed him out with the body dragging behind him.

“You okay?” Woodrow nodded. “We should have been able to hire someone to take care of this, but that would just mean more people would know about our little outings. And it’s been hard enough doing this without everyone and his brother finding out and wanting to play too.”

“This is just stupid.” Leonard agreed.

Before he could say any more, like he was fucking finished with this shit, a car pulled up. Nolan got out and walked toward them. Woodrow could tell by the look in his face that something had happened.

“She’s dead.” Neither of them knew who he meant, but Woodrow thought it was Abbie. “Cali, the nurse that was going to help us out. They found her body this morning in an alley. She’d had her throat ripped out by some animal, they think. She looked like…Christ, her family said she looked like a wolf had gotten her.”

“Fuck.” Woodrow agreed with Leonard’s assessment of the situation. “I wonder how much she told whoever killed her, and how badly we’re fucked? This is bad. Really bad, and we could get into some serious trouble if she even mentioned one of our names.”

Woodrow just stared at his friend as he pulled out a vial and took a few hits of coke. Christ, did he have no compassion at all? Couldn’t he have given two minutes of some sort of grief or compassion for Nolan’s friend? Woodrow was going to tell Leonard right now he was out of their little weekends. Leonard would just have to find someone else for their games. But before he could say a word, Nolan handed Leonard an envelope and started back to his car. Leonard opened it and called for him as he handed it to him.

“You’re giving me your notice? Now? What the hell kind of bullshit is this?” Nolan turned to him but didn’t come back to him. “Nolan, what’s the meaning of this?”

“I’m going to go into business for myself. I’m not…I can’t do this anymore. I know this is short notice and all, but I won’t be back. You have to know that when we tried to kill Abbie Curry it was going to come back to bite us in the ass. And all those hookers are going to go missing soon too. Tell me you believe this. Tell me that you plan to turn yourself—”

Nolan fell back as a bullet ripped through his head. Blood splattered everywhere. The car’s windshield was covered in what looked like brain matter, and Woodrow took a step back. Leonard turned to him, still holding the gun in his hand. It looked like he was ready to kill him as well. Woodrow staggered back again and fell over the body behind him.

“He was going to tell on us.” Woodrow shook his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that Leonard had shot Nolan. Not just shot, but fucking killed him. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already told someone. We need to get the hell out of here and never come back.”

He looked down at the body that they’d left in the doorway, and at Nolan as blood began to pool around his body. The steam coming up from the ground had him gagging again. There was something very fucked up going on here, and he was scared shitless.

“Fuck them all. I mean every last one of them down there. We don’t have anything here, nothing to come back to fuck us. I say we leave now and never look back.” They were rushing toward the car when Woodrow looked down at Nolan. There was something on his chest, and he paused long enough to pull his shirt back. His world pinpointed on what he thought he was seeing.

“A fucking wire. He was wearing a fucking wire.” Woodrow stood up and looked around. He was trying to think if he’d said anything that would come back on him, but he couldn’t remember saying a damned thing. Looking at Leonard, he realized that whoever was listening on the other end would know that he’d shot Nolan.

Leonard tore it from Nolan’s chest and smashed it on a rock cropping near them. When it looked like it was in as many pieces as it could ever be, Leonard dumped three more vials of white powdery substance on the hood of his car with shaky hands and snorted every bit of it up. For the first time in his life, Woodrow wished he had something on him to take. This was fucking insane.

Leonard looked up at him. Woodrow kept his eyes on the gun that he still held in his hand.

“I don’t think it’s a police issue.” Woodrow asked him how he knew that. “First of all, it was taped to his chest with Band-Aids; and secondly, I don’t think they’d use a brand my sister uses for her monitor for her brats. This was all his idea, and he was going to fuck us both.” Leonard kicked the dead man in the ribs twice before he backed away.

Woodrow kept an eye on the road leading to them and the sky, knowing that at any moment someone was coming to get them. Twice a bird flew over them, and he nearly had a stroke thinking it was a police or SWAT chopper to come to take them away. Woodrow had to sit down. His heart was pounding so hard he was afraid of a heart attack. After Leonard took another hit of coke, he sat beside him.

“What do we do now?” Leonard shrugged and finally put the gun away after wiping blood off his lip. “Do you think he told his wife he was coming here?”

“No. I think he told her he was meeting us but not where. Can you imagine how that conversation went down? ‘Dear, I’m headed to the cabin now. We have a few girls up there that on weekends we play with. No sex, but we do get our rocks off by killing them. Oh, and one of them got away.’ She’d have him committed.” Leonard laughed hard, like he was sort of manic, and Woodrow felt his entire world was going to come crashing down on him.

Woodrow laughed, despite the intensity of the situation, because he was still slightly afraid of the gun even though it was in Leonard’s pocket. They had to get moving. If the cops were going to come, which was looking less and less likely the longer they sat there, they didn’t want to be found with a dead body, nor the women still inside. Nolan was an upstanding person and had a job…and the others? Well, they’d more than likely get a medal for taking them off the streets. Woodrow looked at Nolan and thought of their friendship over the years. He hated that he was dead.

“I want you to go back in the house and get whatever you can that might have our names on it or can be associated with us in any way. I mean anything, including a candy bar wrapper we might have dropped. We’re going to burn the place down.” Woodrow wanted to ask about the other women but didn’t. This was the only way they were going to get out of this alive. “I’m going to see if I can get enough gas out of Nolan’s car to light the place up.”

Woodrow stood up and moved toward the house. He was actually afraid to turn his back on Leonard, but when he turned, he was doing what he said he was going to do. Woodrow went into the house and hardly noticed the odor now. He supposed terror would do that to a person.

There were a few blankets on the floor that they’d used to wrap the bodies in when they were finished, but nothing with their names on them. He checked each trashcan to see if there was anything in them, and found nothing other than a few rat turds and a torn-up bra that he had no idea where it had come from. He picked that up and put it into his pocket. Then he made his way to the sub levels.

The odor down there was worse than upstairs. He had to hurry though the rooms, but he found nothing and had started up the stairs when he remembered the masks. He grabbed all of them up in his hand, and was moving toward the doors when he heard Leonard singing.

Why the sound of his voice singing a religious song made his skin crawl and hysteria bubble up, Woodrow couldn’t say. But the way he was singing “Amazing Grace” while he was pouring gas around the house made Woodrow start to laugh. He was singing it as if he were in a choir and his voice rang above everyone else’s. By the time Woodrow was out of the house, Leonard was ready to light the place up.

“We’re not going to hang around. Once this thing starts to go, we’re going to be heading out. The only thing we want to worry about is whether or not the police get here before the place is gone.” Leonard handed him a lighter. “You go to the right and I’ll take the left. We’ll meet in the front and head to the car.”

It took them longer to get the place going than Woodrow thought it would. First of all the snow was thick on the ground, so he had to light it higher up to get it started. Secondly, he was terrified that if he didn’t light it in enough places that it wouldn’t burn quickly. And that was paramount.

He was just getting in the car when he noticed the prints on the ground. But the house started to go up and they watched it for a few minutes despite what Leonard had said. Their prints disappeared much faster than the cabin did. When they got on the main road, Woodrow looked back and saw the billowing black smoke as it curled in the air. He just hoped to Christ that the area had a Podunk fire station and not something state of the art.

“We’ll never talk about this again. I’ve no desire to go to prison, and I’m sure you don’t want to either.” Woodrow agreed. “We have enough dirt on each other that we have to stick together or we’ll be electrocuted, sure as shit. And neither of us saw Nolan since we didn’t know anything about this place out here. If they find him…well, they can think what they want. Got nothing to do with us. I don’t know what to do about his recording shit, but I’ll think of something.”

Woodrow nodded. He was thinking of his own plans. And none of it had anything to do with Leonard and saving his ass. It was his he was concerned about, and fuck the man sitting next to him. By the time they made it back to his apartment where Connie was, he had a plan. It was time to leave the country before shit hit the fan.

~~~
Abbie moved to the kitchen. She knew there had to be one, but she’d gotten turned around three times already and was beginning to doubt it. When she heard someone playing music softly, she opened the door and froze. She had no idea what she had expected to find in this room, but a giant…?
“I’m a troll, my lady. A creek troll to be exact.” She nodded but didn’t move. “I was just making me a spot of tea. Would you care for a cup with me?”
“I was looking for Vicente. He wasn’t upstairs when I woke and I was…you’re really a troll.” He smiled at her, and she wanted to take another step back but held her ground. “You’re the cook, I take it.”
“I am. Are you hungry? There are a great many things I could cook for you. I’m very good. All self-taught, I’m afraid. Believe it or not, but a cordon college wouldn’t take me as a student.” She laughed, which she was sure he’d meant for her to do. “Come on now, have some tea. Auggie and I are just going over his duties as your match.”
She saw the little man standing next to the smallest plate she’d ever seen. On it were several flower heads, and a tiny cup sat with steam curling from the liquid inside it. Abbie sat down but put her hands on her lap. She was never sure what to do when one of the small people were around. Auggie sat down when the troll put a cup of steaming tea in front of her. The smell made her grin.
“I love almond tea.” He nodded and handed her a plate with a slice of lemon on it, as well as a small pitcher of cream. She didn’t normally use either, but decided to try it. When a plate of scones was set in front of her as well, she looked up at the man.
“I’m Abbie Curry. I don’t think I’ve ever met a troll before, creek troll or any other kind.” He grinned as he sat across from her. Auggie picked up one of the many petals and began to eat it.
“I’m Doul. Simply Doul, no last name. Though there are few trolls, myself not included, that takes the last name of the place near where they were made. Mine would be Dump if I were to choose to do that. But I think going by Doul Dump would sound much undignified. Don’t you?” She nodded and picked up her tea.
Abbie could afford all kinds of nice things when she worked, and she sometimes bought them just because she liked them. Tea was her favorite thing of all, but she seldom splurged on it. She bought a nice tin of it for herself for Christmas, but nothing more. She sipped this tea and was surprised at how delicious it was.
“It is from a friend of mine. A witch. She is very good at blending the leaves together so that there is no bitter aftertaste, as well as a nice aroma to go with it. She gives me the lavender for the scones as well.” She picked up one and took a bite. He laughed at her expression. “I can see I will have to double my cooking on these now that you’re here, my lady.”
