“Get on the bed,” his voice demanding. “On your back.”

Madison climbed onto the bed and turned over to lay down. As she did, she felt his hands around her ankles as he pulled her near the edge.

“It’s
my
turn now.” His eyes were heated as he climbed on the bed.

He kneeled, sliding his knees under her thighs and sank into her again. With his hands securely around her waist, his hips moved in a furry of speed, rocketing his cock as far as it would reach.

Madison reached up and grabbed her breasts in her hands, tugging on her nipples.

“Yeh, that’s it. Play with yourself,” he approved gruffly.

Leaving one hand with a breast, she took a finger into her mouth and wet it, then brought it to her clit and rubbed as he continued to pound into her.

“That is so fucking beautiful.” Seeing her pleasure herself caused his hips to pump faster, driving into her even harder. He watched as her hand and his cock worked in tandem.

His hands tightened around her waist when he started to feel her next orgasm approach.

“Oh fuck, I’m going to come!” she shouted, this orgasm the most intense of them all.

“Come for me, come on,” he coaxed, feeling her walls spasm around him.

Madison moaned as her orgasm ripped through her.

He kept pounding, feeling his own building.

“Oh fuck, oh fuck!” He grabbed his cock and pulled out of her. He fisted his shaft, pointing it over her stomach and breasts, just as cum shot from him. Pools of liquid peppered her body.

Finished, he collapsed next to her, breathing hard.

Madison ran a finger over her stomach, feeling his warm juice against her skin.

He turned to the nightstand, eyeing a box of tissues, and grabbed a few. When he turned to look at her, she was looking at him, a sense of wonder in her eyes.

Gently, he took the tissues and cleaned himself from her. He hadn’t planned on pulling out, but there was something about the idea of marking her that had driven him crazy as he was about to come.

Placing the used tissues on the table beside him, he laid back on the bed.

Neither spoke. There was no kissing or cuddling. They both just laid there, looking up at the ceiling, silently catching their breaths.

Madison woke with a start. She was laying on her stomach, her red curls covering her face. Her mouth was as dry as the Sahara and her head was pounding. The sound of little ice pellets hitting the window echoed in her ears.

Without looking, she knew she was naked, but she also knew she was in her own bed. She rolled to her back refusing to open her eyes. The light would hurt too much.

The body beside her began to move. She had a strict rule that guys didn’t spend the night and she wasn’t entirely sure who was beside her.

Images from the night before started to flash in her mind. The club. Dancing. Drinking. A lot of drinking. A tall, sexy, blue-eyed, blonde-haired guy she recognized but couldn’t place.

“Oh. My. God. FUCK!” she yelled, immediately grabbing her head at the pain.

“Babe, we already did that,” the body groaned. “But if you wanted to go again, I could be up for that.” An arm reached around her waist.

“No, no, no, no…” she said out loud, pushing the arm away. “I can’t believe I did this!”

She grabbed the sheet and quickly got out of bed, wrapping the sheet around her.

“What’s the matter? I thought we had a good time,” he said, raising his head to look at her.

“Are you fucking kidding me, Jaxon? You need to leave!”

“Aww, come on. Don’t be like that.” He reached for her hand. “I thought we had fun last night.”

Madison looked at him in disgust then turned and walked quickly toward the bathroom.

How in the fuck did I let this happen?

Rule #1? Don’t sleep with guys your best friend used to date.

Rule #1A? You sure as fuck don’t sleep with the guy who cheated on your best friend and crushed her heart.

Madison slammed the door and sat on the edge of the tub. She needed to figure out what she was going to do. Ryan was going to kill her when she found out.

Her mind flashed back to the night in the bar several months ago when she had gone to the shore to see Ryan. During their girls’ night out, Madison was at the bar getting drinks for everyone and met a guy who wanted to buy them a round. Unbeknownst to her, the guy hitting on her had been Jaxon, Ryan’s ex. At that time she had only known of him and had never met him or even seen his picture.

Jaxon and Ryan dated for about two years before Madison met her. When Ryan walked in on the asshole screwing another girl on his couch, she had left his key on the counter, turned around and walked away. It was during a chance meeting several years later that Ryan had the opportunity to clear the air with him and finally close the door on that chapter of her life.

When Madison realized it was Ryan’s ex at the bar, she had taken great joy in finally telling him off for all the hurt he had caused her friend.

And now he was here, naked in her bed.

And she had brought him here.

And slept with him.

WHY in the hell did I bring him here? Damn it! I knew I recognized him from somewhere!

He had to go. That’s truly all there was to it. It wasn’t like this relationship – Hell, it wasn’t even a relationship! – was going anywhere. She’d confess to Ryan, take whatever punishment she was owed, and they’d move on.

Ryan is happy with Cody. If I just tell her the truth, she’ll be mad for a bit, but she’ll get over it. Jaxon is history to her.

Convinced Ryan would forgive her, Madison stood and rewrapped the sheet around her body, securing it at the top with a tuck. She took a quick look at herself in the mirror and groaned.

I look like I’ve been run over by a damn army tank!

The hangover throbbing in her head wasn’t helping. She turned on the faucet, cupped the water in her hands and drank. At least she could get rid of the cotton feeling in her mouth.

She dried her hands and opened the door, hoping to see an empty room, or at the very least, Jaxon getting dressed. Instead she found him in her bed, casually laying on his side, one hand holding his head up and not a stitch of fabric covering his body.

And damn it, he was gorgeous. His just fucked blonde hair, the morning stubble on his chin, the hairless chest with defined pecs, the washboard abs leading down to his cock that was awake and hard and demanding attention…

Fuck me.

Refusing to let his body affect her, Madison stood firm. “You need to leave.”

He didn’t say anything as a smirk covered his face. He knew the look on her face well because he’d seen it before on plenty of other women. As hard as she wanted to hide it, she wanted him.

“Ryan is going to be fucking pissed when I tell her about this.”

“Then don’t tell her,” he answered with a shrug.

“Do I have to get a fucking bucket of water to throw on you or something? It seemed to work last time.”

Jaxon chuckled quietly as he remembered that night at the bar. He could still see her ass walking away from him, and what a sight it had been.

“Seriously! You need to fucking leave!”

Madison walked out to the hallway and down the stairs to where his clothes laid strewn from the bottom to top. She picked them up, piece by piece, and threw them at him when she re-entered the room.

“Get dressed and get the fuck out.”

Jaxon sighed.

Apparently round two isn’t going to happen.

“What are you waiting for?” Madison nearly screamed then reached for her head again.

This is going to be the worst fucking hangover EVER.

With another sigh, Jaxon reached for his shirt and rolled off the bed.

Madison breathed a sigh of relief seeing him dress himself.

She wasn’t sure how she was going to tell Ryan what happened. Wait, of course she did. She would just spit it out. No sugar coating. No beating around the bush. That wasn’t Madison’s style anyway. She’d just come right out and tell her.

Finally dressed, Jaxon finished putting his shoes on and walked toward the front door. Grabbing the knob, he turned to look at Madison. “You know, she’s not going to care.”

Madison looked at him, not believing his words.

“She’s got that other guy and they’re married now, aren’t they? She isn’t going to care who you slept with, Madison, even if it was me.”

“That may be true, Jaxon, but I care. I don’t sleep with my friends’ exes. Especially the ones that fuck over their girlfriends like you did to her.”

A smirk slowly formed on his lips. “Well, looks like you did last night.”

“Unfortunately,” she answered with a look of disdain. “And let me tell you, it will never happen again. Never.”

“Too bad,” he said with a grin. “It was fun.”

He winked at her and walked out the door.

Madison needed a few minutes to clear her head before she talked to Ryan. Heading back to her bedroom, she took in the state of her bed. The comforter was half off and the pillows were askew. It looked like someone had a lot of fun in this room last night, and the thought made her sick.

She quickly untucked the sheet she was wearing and dropped it to the floor, starting a pile. Grabbing the pillows, she removed their cases and tossed them on top of the sheet. The fitted sheet was next. She wanted to remove Jaxon from this room. Bundling everything in her arms she walked downstairs to the laundry room and dumped it into the washer.

The next step was to wash him off her. She recalled his orgasm and raised her hand to her breast. It felt sticky.

Fuck…

She walked straight into her bathroom and turned on the shower. She just needed him gone.

The hot water pounded her flesh. She grabbed the soap and ran it over every inch of her body, removing any remaining traces of that cheating son of a bitch.

How could I have been so stupid?

How in the fuck did I not recognize him?

Finished with her shower, she sat on her bed, slowly running her fingers through her long red curls. She felt slightly better.

The next step was to talk to Ryan. Clear the air.

Jaxon was probably right. Ryan probably wouldn’t care … much. She was married to Cody. She was happy. Jaxon was a mere blip in her history. Madison couldn’t help but feel she betrayed her friend though. It was the unwritten rule – you don’t sleep with a friend’s ex. You just don’t. And while Madison’s code could be viewed by some as lax, especially when it came to sex, that was a rule she had never broken.

Madison had a difficult childhood that was filled with anything but love. Her parents hadn’t wanted her, and they reminded her of that fact every chance they could. And when she finally found someone to love, her world had been turned upside down. Twice. And this wasn’t a case where two wrongs made a right. Not even close.

But when it came to men, Madison didn’t much care. She had fun. She liked to party. She didn’t date. And she loved having sex. However, she wasn’t in the habit of breaking up relationships. Hell, most of the time she knew so little about the men she was sleeping with she wouldn’t have known if she was breaking anything up anyway. And she certainly wasn’t in the habit of hurting her friends.

Madison was loyal, down to her bones. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for the people in her life. And for the ones she loved, she’d die for. In her lifetime, however, that had included only four people. Two of them were gone now. And there had been nothing she could do to stop them from leaving. That meant she’d do everything she could to keep the others safe.

Reaching for her phone, she typed out a message to Ryan.

Madison:
Hey girl. You guys make it home okay?

Ryan:
We did. You have a good birthday night?

Madison:
LOL. Yeh, it was interesting, that’s for sure.

Ryan:
Sounds like we missed some fun after we left.

Madison:
Something like that.

Ryan:
:)

Madison:
Do you think you could meet me for coffee? I need to talk to you.

Ryan:
Everything okay?

Madison:
Yeh. Killer hangover, ya know.

Ryan:
Okay. Give me about an hour?

Madison:
Sounds good.

Madison finished getting ready and headed to the coffee shop they visited when Ryan was in Town. She would be early, but it would give her a chance to get some caffeine in her system before Ryan arrived. She’d need all the help she could get.

A cup and a half later, Ryan walked in. Madison noted the “just fucked” smile on her face. “Looks like you two had fun last night.”

Ryan smiled as her face turned pink. There was nothing she could do to control it. “Yeh, we did,” she said dreamily. “Let me get something to drink and then we can talk, okay?”

“Yep,” Madison nodded, reaching for her own cup again.

Ryan turned to watch Madison while she waited for the barista to prepare her morning jolt. Something was wrong. She knew Madison probably had a pretty severe hangover this morning given what she’d seen her drink, and she was sure the drinks continued after she left, but it was something else.

Walking back to the table, Ryan sat her coffee down and took her place in the chair across from Madison. “Okay, just spit it out. I know something’s going on, I just can’t tell what it is.”

Madison looked at her and sighed. They really did know each other well. Too well sometimes.

“You know I don’t sugar coat things, so here you go.”

Ryan waited while Madison drew in a deep breath.

“After you guys left I had some drinks. Many more, in fact. I was out on the dance floor when someone started dancing up on me. When I turned to face him, I recognized him but couldn’t think of his name. He ended up going home with me. This morning when I woke up, I finally realized who he was.”
