Reluctantly, Owen grabbed his hat off the old rocking chair, which belonged to his great-grandfather. Lexie had a point. They’d agreed beforehand that if Lexie agreed to sleep with them, all three of them would be present, at least for the first time. But damn, what did she expect coming out here wearing those shorts and her tits sticking out through the shirt just begging to be sucked?

Patience, dude. It’s only a matter of time before you have those sexy brown legs wrapped around your back, pleading for more.

“You’re right. We shouldn’t be doing this.” Owen looked her up and down and grinned to lighten the mood. “Ready for your first taste of ranch life, cowgirl?”

“Sure am. Just don’t go off and start talking about all those whatchamacallits you were doing with Connor and Logan last night. You guys had me completely lost.” She narrowed her eyes at him. “And I
don’t
like that.”

Laughing, Owen slapped her on the ass. “All right, Miss Cheyenne, get three country white boys around a table and what else are we gonna talk about?”

“Excuses, excuses. What do you guys talk about when you bring home a female?”

“You mean bring home a girl for a gangbang?”

She lifted a brow. “No need to beat around the bush with you, huh? For your info, yes, that’s exactly what I mean. How many women have you and your brothers done this sort of thing with?”

“None.”

Her eyes widened. “You all have
never
had sex with the same woman before?”

Owen shook his head. “I said none, right?”

“Forgive me if I find that a tad hard to believe. This town is swarming with little Daisy Duke wannabes and all three of you, the hottest, richest men in town, develop a thing for me, the only black girl around. What am I missing here, Kinc—Owen? What’s the attraction?”

He rolled his eyes and growled. “If we had a thing for black women, do you think we’d still live in this goddamn town? Look around. A woman is a woman, and neither I nor my brothers give a shit about your skin color.” Owen scratched the back of his head and paused. “Okay, so I think it’s beautiful, but that’s beside the point. It’s you we want. Just you, Alexa Grey.”

She said nothing, and Owen assumed he’d gotten through to her until she stopped suddenly and planted herself up against a tree in front of him.

“I’m still a little bit confused about all this.”

“Confused about what? That my dick is hard for you and I want nothing more than to push those pretty legs apart and fuck you straight into next week?” He waved a hand toward his stiff groin. “Need more proof?”

She expelled a loud breath and lowered her lashes. “I, ah, I can see that. I’m curious, though, about how long you, Logan, and Connor have been checking me out, planning this little arrangement that, like a fool, I’m getting involved in.”

Owen felt heated color creeping up into his neck. His mind raced for something to tell her.

“You’re blushing,” she squeaked, a huge triumphant grin spreading across her face. “This is going to be good. Out with it. Did you like me even when you caught me about to
borrow
from you?”

Fuck.

Now his face had to be flaming red. “I should have just ignored it and let you take the money. The only reason I stopped you was because I thought I’d get you to talk to me—”

“Owen, you’re not answering my question. When did you first notice me, and when did the three of you decide you all wanted to share?”

“I’ve always noticed you. I guess I just never put much thought into what I felt for you until a couple of months ago. I saw you in the grocery store. You were going about your business, didn’t notice me. Anyway, Warren showed up—the young one.” Owen curled his lips in distaste thinking about the deputy. Lexie’s face went dour also. “I saw him walk up to you, and I knew exactly what was going on in the bastard’s mind. Same thing that was inside my head. I wanted to smash in his head. My hands were itching to actually do it until I heard you rip him a new hole. If I weren’t terrified you’d have done the same to me, I would have made a move on you right then and there.” Owen clenched his fist and couldn’t help but voice his disdain for his enemy once more. “Fucking hate that asshole.”

“You do?” She lifted her gaze to his, a flicker of worry in her eyes. “You really hate Deputy Warren?”

“Yeah. He and Frank have had it in for us for a long time. We think it was them and a third person that started the fire. We’re trying to gather enough evidence on them.”

She nodded, although that troubled look remained on her features. “I’ll believe that. I wouldn’t put anything past those two. Is there anything I can do to help you get information on them?”

Owen scowled. “I didn’t tell you this with the intention for you to get involved. I mean it, Lexie. Stay out of it or so help me God, I’ll tan your hide.” He hardened his jaw and pinned her with a look of warning.

“Yeah, yeah. I heard you. I’m not into playing detective anyway, and for the record, my
hide
is already tanned.” She cocked her head to the side before adding saucily, “More so than you’ll know.”

Planting his hand on the trunk of the tree above her head, Owen grated, “Give it a week, darlin’, and I’ll be intimately acquainted with more than the color of your ass.” He lifted an eyebrow and eased away before she could respond.

Hurried footsteps caught up to him, and Owen felt slender fingers curling into his hand. “So, let me get this straight. Logan likes oral and you like anal?”

“For a woman who’s never been laid, you sure don’t mind talking about all that comes with it.” He looked back at her while pushing open the door to the barn. The familiar scent of hay and corn grain permeated in the air.

Lexie’s gaze drifted over the lofty room. “I’m curious. None of you can blame me for that. The only reason I’m a virgin is because the pickings are slim around here, and I’d rather be the crazy old cat lady before I let somebody like Deputy Warren, who kept on asking me out, be the first person I sleep with.”

“But you don’t mind it being one of us?” His heart thumped because he knew whatever her answer was, Lexie wouldn’t lie to him. She talked a lot, more than any woman he’d ever been with, and if she were any other female, he would have found it irritating as hell, but with Lexie, he admired her candid honesty, and truth be told, he could sit and listen to her for the entire day.

“I wouldn’t be here if I minded, now would I?” she asked. “It’ll be one of you, although I’m still not sure how it’s going to work. What will it be, coin toss or who has the smaller penis to get Lexie accustomed?”

Owen laughed aloud. “This is one time I can definitely speak for my brothers. Darlin’, there is
nothing
small about Kincaid men.” He picked up a bale of hay and tossed it over his shoulder. “Well-hung and always ready to fuck. That’s all you need to know.”

She shrugged. “I think I’ll be the judge of that.”

“What do you know? You have nothing to compare us to.”

Another shrug. “I’ve seen pictures.”

“Porn?”

“Google.”

Owen nodded. “You’ll be impressed with us. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

She clicked her tongue and picked up a flour sack of grains. “Less than seven inches or more? I’ve read that’s a good size.”

“Lexie, I don’t run around with a yard stick, measuring dicks. To quell your doubts, rest assured I don’t think it’s in the Kincaid genes to be anything less than a nine.”

“Hmm. I was curious before, but now I’m not sure if I should be running in the other direction or spreading my legs this very moment.”

Owen kicked open the door. “For now, what you can do is decide which horse we’ll ride today. We have a ranch to run, and strong as I am, this hay is not as light as a certain female I’d rather be carting around across my shoulder.”

She moved ahead of him and laughed, the throaty sound made his chest tighten and his cock ache with longing. Owen stole a glance at her. A wisp of breeze rustled through the air raising her shirt higher above her belly button. Despite the glimpse of her braless tits, with each rustle of the wind, Owen found himself more interested in the way she turned her head to the side as if she was afraid of the wind hitting her face.

Cute
.

The air settled, yet her gaze continued to dart sideways, and he knew that, however much she tried to appear aloof, Lexie was fascinated by the surroundings and all they had to offer.
Perfect
.

Then again, he could use that same term to describe her. From what he’d seen of her, outside and inside, there wasn’t one thing about Lexie to dislike. She had to be the most open female he’d ever come across. He’d spent an entire conversation talking to her about sex and not once did she recoil or act coy like most of the women he knew. If anything, she seemed to enjoy talking about it as much as he did. Owen smiled to himself. Logan and Connor had warned him not to come on too strong to Lexie, he recalled with malice. Showed how much they knew about her. Then again, he knew his brother’s flaws and hoped to God neither of them did anything to piss her off and send her packing.

Chapter Seven

On Wednesday evening, after Connor picked her up from work, Lexie was surprised that instead of heading straight to the ranch, he turned onto a solitary road lit by nothing more than the full silver moon hanging overhead. He parked the truck on a bluff overlooking the Circle-K Ranch and all of Oak Creek, which rested quietly below in a speck of dim orange light.

“Is this where you take all the girls like Anna-Sue who have the hots for you?” she asked, joining him to sit on the cab of the pickup.

He wrapped his arms around her and drew her close to him until her head rested on his shoulder. “You don’t have to keep mentioning her. There’s no reason to be jealous of her.”

His statement confused her on a deeper level. Yeah, she could see past her jealousy of Anna-Sue’s crush on Connor, but what about him? Logan and Owen had already confirmed that they were fine with the situation and had no jealousies. She accepted it, or at least she hoped they spoke the truth. Connor, on the other hand, he was so different from his brothers. Logan was succinct, to the point, which she admired because to run both businesses he had to be. But there was a hidden part of Logan, the non-uptight part of him she’d glimpsed two nights ago. Lexie was aching with the need to get to know this side of Logan.

Owen, on the other hand, was so laid back and funny. Yesterday, they’d spent almost the entire day roaming the ranch laughing their asses off and chatting about the dumbest topics. At one point they’d even ended up arm wrestling to see who had to make lunch that day. She’d lost that game in less than a second after believing Owen would allow her to win for the sake of being a gentleman. Wrong. And yet, she’d found herself alternating between smiling and humming while preparing the food.

Connor, however, the sexy, tussled-haired cowboy sitting next to her with his arms keeping her warm from the northwestern winds gently cooling the midsummer night’s air, was her loner. She didn’t want him to be jealous of the time she had spent with Owen while he was off doing the dirty work.

“Anna-Sue isn’t a blip on my radar anymore. You say I shouldn’t be jealous of her, then I believe you. I’m not.”

He leaned over and touched his head to hers. Lexie knew her words had pleased him. “Are you still okay with me staying in your home?”

“Why wouldn’t I be? I suggested it.”

“Yes, but it feels like I’ve spent most of my time with everyone except you.” He said nothing, indicating to her that he had noticed it also. She sucked in a breath and raised her head, gazing at him. “I’ve even kissed Logan and Owen.”

Her muscles tensed awaiting his reaction. Somehow it felt different than when she’d said the words to Owen. She ran a greater risk of upsetting Connor, but total honesty had to be a must, right? Playing around with the emotions of three grown men was a dangerous game, one she didn’t dare begin.
